Today is the UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS' birthday and I would like to thank all veterans for their service.

I would also like to ask all of the people who visit the Main Forum to take a close look at the murder suspect in the photos and videos that are on the website of www.mikesurber.com

These are clear images of the man who most likely stabbed Mike Surber to death.

For those of you who didn't know Mike, he was from my neck of the woods, Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He was often called "Biloxi Mike", named after the nearby "big Gulf Coast city".

Mike was a STRONG one pocket player, well-liked by all. He was a fierce competitor whether it was practice, tournament or stakes. Mike was a regular HIGH FINISHER in banks and one pocket. Like many of us, his annual vacation was going to the Derby City Classic. I'll miss Mike this year and I know many of you will to.

But what saddens me the most is that he was a really nice guy and this person in the photos and videos, most likely killed him for little more than what was in his pockets.

There is a $10,000.00 reward for the arrest and conviction of the murderer that I hope someone will collect one day. It has been 2 years to the day that Mike was killed.

PLEASE JOIN ME IN SEEKING THE IDENTITY OF THE PERSON WHO WAS LAST SEEN WITH MIKE SURBER. Someone out there knows this man and remembers this man.

Thanks for the reminder Joey. If this guy isn't caught, he will probably murder again in my opinion. Justice must be served.
 
Gosh, it's hard to believe it's been 2 years already.

If only AMW would air this on their TV show, I am confident somebody out there will recognize this creep.

he was 'Shorty FROM Arlington'. Shorty, Billy Moore, myself - aspiring kid poolplayers being entertained by the best the game offered. Everybody, and I mean everybody, would eventually come thru Beenie's place. Open 24 hrs, top notch pool, we were kids in a candy store. Unbelievable education this was. Pool U and the University of Action all in one

Miss Shorty alot. Terrible, terrible thing. We'd cross paths all over the country at one time or another. It was always nice to see his smiling face. And he was always smiling ... yes, miss him alot

They'll catch this scumbag Mike ... Rest in Peace young man

I think Joey mistook today, The birthday of the Marines, as Veterans day.

I can't believe this guy has still not been caught. I wish someone would do some enhanced photos with "new Looks" this guy might have morphed into.

It's good to keep this in front of everyone, especially for the new members that may of missed it.

This is the first time I have seen all three video's, and it looks like he got into a game very soon after he walked in.
If that's the case, then he must know his way around a pool room, so it's amazing that nobody recognizes him.
It wouldn't surprise me if he's sitting in prison in another state on other charges.

It's eerie stuff to see the face of a murderer.
 
It seems that someone could get a good "height" estimate from these videos.

I didn't find one anywhere. Am I missing it?

It's too bad there wasn't a harder push to get this story on AMW. Somebody really dropped the ball in this case. The media only ran this story in Mississippi and Georgia. I can't believe in 2011 with pictures and video of this guy they can't come up with a name. Unbelievable...:frown:
 
I've never seen this story before but what a shame. I hope they catch the SOB who did this. This really hits home for me as I had a friend of mine murdered a few years ago and they never caught his killer. They also did the Americas most wanted thing and never got anywhere but then again they have no suspects in his case. He was a young man an left a 2 year old son behind. The worst part is he was one of he best guys I knew. We hunted together and when we were done for the day we'd always have a group of guys stand around and tip a few cold ones. He would b.s. with us but I never saw him have a drop of alcohol and I know he didn't do any type of drugs. He was a nice kid and missed by many.

Seems to me if we keep this near the top it might help put Mike Surbers killer behind bars. I don't know if it's possible but maybe he mods can send a mass PM to every member of this site with a link to this once a month. I wouldn't mind my memory being refreshed on a monthly basis of what this dude looks like.

Making it a sticky is a great idea too, but I'm sure a lot of people don't visit the main forum on a regular basis.

As much as I would like closure and to see this predator brought to justice, maybe he's dead. Maybe he tried to bullshit a bullshitter and got his hand caught in the cookie jar. One can hope.
