I got this mini carom table. I was told it was a Brunswick sales model from the 30’s. I have no idea if that is true. I’m seeking any information please thanks!

You would think there would be a logo on it if it was a sales model.
Looks very well built.

If it is from 1930’s could be sample a traveling salesmen used as sales too to show potential buyers.

Grand uncle was traveling salesmen post depression, and had many mini item he carried as samples.

Just an idea.

IMHO it could be european : I've already seen a similar artifact for sale in Paris / Saint-Ouen antique market. It was sold with 2 scaled down/miniature cues , and the asked price wasn't cheap (as usual in the Saint-Ouen antique markets) so i didn't buy it ...
i guess that the 2 traces you can see on the cloth were caused by 2 small/miniature cues...

An idea about what, it was a sales prop?

You almost understood the op.

So close. Really close, this time!

Well if you know what it really is share you idea.

But like I said in the time when traveling salesmen, went from town to town.

Most carried sample products, big thing like furniture were normally shown to potential buyers in small to scale size.

So I am still guessing salesman sample.

Nice job, Einstein.

The second line of the post informed it was a sales prop.

I suppose your next glorious share will be about the same level as cracking the code of stoplight progressions.

I can wait. Really.

Oh, and see the marks on the bed? From objects laid upon it and not moved for a long time. That item did not travel.

Reread he did not say sales prop, maybe you got glocoma coming on.

The correct term is salesman sample, this is what muni’s or scale models were call by the guys like my uncle who went from town to town. Selling all sort of things from fishing flies, to coverall.

Selling thing they were contracted to show, and take order got before the internet, or Amazon.🤣
