Mobile toury stunk this year anyone know why?

The Freezer does have a way of making the gamblers real quiet...so I guess Mobile stunk coz he was there?!!?

First off, I live 30 miles away from Breakers and I didn't even know when the tourny was until a week or so before. There was NO advertising done for the event this year. Usually we'll go to the website and print off a copy of the flyer to put up in our store. The website has been down for months now, so that wasn't possible.
I heard that there may have been some ownership changes at the hall. I did see Ricky Byrd there and he still looked like he was running the place. Maybe he doesn't own it anymore so he doesn't care about the tourny.
You are correct, normally this tourny fills the 128 spots. Even in bad years it draws 100+ players.
Really sad. A lot of people look forward to this event for sweating action and getting in some as well.
The person that normally runs the place is not there any longer to much family drama between the Byrds .
