Just wanting some feed back on this aiming method.

Modified Ghost Ball Aiming Method

On the top of the page is the aiming system. Let me know if there is anything that isn't clear.

On the lower half of the page is a drill to help show how accurately you aim, so it could be helpful to a few people.

I read your link without any problem or warnings. Your idea is unique and if it works for you and others I am all for it. I may try it in the future just to see if it helps my game but it is hard to alter what is already working for you.

BTW, you communicated everything quite well.
Thanks,

JoeyA

I got a MAJOR warning alert from my Firefox browser when I clicked on your link.

Google is looking into it. It's their warning. When I looked at what they said, it said that nothing had come from the site, but it was on their list. (Guilty until proven innocent?)

Thanks for the heads up though.

It's not all that unique....

It's the same as the half ball technique...

If you measure a half ball length behind the object ball in line with the shot, it's the aimpoint....

It's actually one of the oldest aiming techniques there is...

(edit) When you see top players line up behind the shot and they place their tip in line behind the object ball and then rotate from that point in line to the CB, that's what they're doing....

I use the ferule of my cue as a guage. The ferule is 1" and the tip adds another 1/8" that equals 1 1/8" the same as 1/2 of a ball. Lay my cue close to the ball that I am shooting aiming at the point/pocket that I want to hit. The back end of the ferule is the spot that I aim at. Slide the cue tip to that point and then pivot the butt of the cue over the center of the CB. I now have the point to aim at and the cue is also right on line for the shot.

Not too hard. Be careful when doing this so you don't mark the cloth which would be a foul.
