Montana People PLEASE SPLAIN

tourney

I'm one of the locals that put on the MONTANA POOL PLAYERS MEMORIAL and i will try to explain how we do it. It's quite simple First we found a bar (CATTLEMEN'S)that we could handle 120 men, the ladies play at another venue (VFW). Then we talk to the local beer distributers who always ante up a large amount of cash, and because of this we drink ALOT of there product. We also are very fortunate to have a cue maker near (JACK MADDEN CUES.) that brings up a couple cues to raffle off, in two hrs. we sold 200 spots at 10$ a spot do the math. Thank you Jack YOU ROCK, in the tourney ther are at least 15 of his cues being used, this years winner used one. We also have a number of local businesses that sponser players for a tax writeoff of 125$ PLUSS CORP, DALENS DIESAL, BIG SKY HARDWOODS, M and K TILE and COKERS TRUCKING. Most important thing of all is we have a good time, The same people play year after year. We also have the no Idiots or Jackass rule if you are one you are not invited. Then when we are done we still support the businesses that support us. If you have any more questions send me a personal message and we can talk.

Doug...It's still a pretty good hike to Jack Madden's house, from Va. City. You have to drive about 250 miles, one way! Jack lives about 50 miles north of Missoula, on the way to Kalispell and just a few miles south of Flathead Lake. Worth the drive though...especially on your Harley!

Jack, I plan to spend the summer season working in Virginia City. How far is that from you? I'm not a pool player but I like to play pool. Been retired a while and thought perhaps I might get a cue from you before heading back to Tenn. in Sept-Oct.

Doug,

Just give me a call. Enjoy Montana --- nothing better in the summer.

To busy to play but thinkin of a M and K invite
you ready to play?

Oh hell yeah, if there's an M and K invite I'm in. I haven't been playing lately cause I've got a lot of archery shit going on, trying to quit smoking ( Cattlemen's is a bad place to go if you're trying to swing that), and I'm just really burned out on league

M and K Invite

I will talk to Ken and Cattlemens about a good time to do it. I figure $30.00limit it to 32 players $500.00 dollars for first place not bad for a day tourney. Good job on the trying to quit smoking good luck.
