Moori III Medium tips popping off

I wanted to add that I feel that the foam texture under the tip really adds something special to the hit. Very similar to when you get that special shaft & tip that hits extra sporty. Gorilla glue, Sniper tip, old Grice ferrule is something really superb...hits like old Micarta...nuff said!!!
Special mention of the new Tiger "sabre" ferrule material. Have not hit with it yet (tomorrow) but it seems to be exactly what cuemakers have been looking for. Tony said it was unbreakable. I have cut, made, and installed a ferrule of it. It works really fantastic. Bright white, very clean...not one single dark spot of trash, polishes perfect and extremely chalk resistant. Tony sent me rods and said try it drilled or capped. Just from working with it, I love it...seems to be an ultra superior material...and not nearly as hard as the new Ivorine 4. If tomorrow it has the "softer" hit I prefer...the Saber material will be my first choice.

Joey!!!!!!!!! Damn it...you misunderstood me again...I said for you to put more spit on the tip of it!!!
And yes CueCrazy...it does foam a bit. I'm not sure exactly what its made of...as well as it works I could care less. Like Joey said...just slightly dampen the tip...and I put the Gglue on the ferrule only. Just use barely enough to cover the ferrule face. Keep decent (no extreme needed) pressure overnight. The excess will foam up and drip down. No worries of hurting ferrules or anything else. Try a test...you can even leave the tip cocked at an angle not flush with the ferrule. The Gglue foams, fills the gap and even that tip will stay on and play fine....amazing!!!

Thanks, Well, It certainly is a good glue, but as you mentioned before, time is usually an issue here, so probably only be of use on personal cues for the most part. I have rarely had a tip pop off a customer's personal shaft in the first place, (altough noone's perfect including Myself), and none since I switched methods, regardless of which of the three ca's I mentioned using earlier, but have had a few come off of house cues that take some serious abuse, so It may be of use to Me for those if it holds up better.

Good morning there pal. Just reading through your replies. Lots of good advice here. But it looks like Varney pretty well has your problem covered to a tee. Good luck!

Keep 'em all in the fridge during the Summer!

Hey All,

Just a heads up. As the temperature rises, the glues break down. During the Summer months, keeps your CA's in the fridge when not in use. They will last longer. :D
