Ok, When I bought my Gilbert I had a moori med put on the cue, and had the tip shaped to a nickle. To my suprise the tip held chalk better than the other moori's i had used.
The previous ones seemed to glaze over very fast, so i was constantly scuffing the tip and using a tip pik.
Well last sunday, I scuffed up the tip with my George scuffer
And instantly i noticed the tip wasnt holding chalk as well.
I even used the tip pik alot and that seemed to help, but after a few games and looking at the tip when chalking it, i could see it was glazing over.
I didnt have this problem, untill i scuffed up the tip. Is this common? is there some special way to get the tip to hold chalk better?
I love the way the moori's play, I just hate having to deal with a tip that glazes over so fast.
