can you snap a sample pic. may be interested but they have to me white with no pits

Thanks for your interest dave, Everyone wants the white stuff, there's not alot of the "very"white stuff, I was going to mix it up alittle when people bought some, like 4 to 1, 1 being white. If people want me to send them only white, I'm going to have to charge more for that. Because it will be gone quickly not to mention I have cues to build with it as well. Zylr uses the grey stuff. Nothing wrong with it.

I wasn't going to do pics, Most of it is a white mixed with grey, some all grey, and very little all white. But since everyone has to have a pic I guess I try to get one later.

Would you mind showing a picture to contrast moose horn vs buckhorn? And giving your personal experience with both?

Moosehorn is a type of buckhorn. Buckhorn is basically any anter material. It could be from deer, elk, moose, stag, etc. In my opinion, moosehorn is one of the best in terms of structural integrity & porosity. It's usually very strong with little or no porous material.

Sorry, I assumed (and we all know what that can get us) that at the end when he said he also had limited buckhorn available he was speaking of deer antler. It seemed to me that most people were using those in a synonymous manner.

And thank you very much for the rest of the information, that is very helpful!

Maybe he wanted to classify them separately because moosehorn is so much more expensive. You can buy antler by the pound from several suppliers, and next to stag, moose is the most expensive & rare. It just happens that it's also about the best. There's one besides stag that is better, but is very uncommon & i'm not giving it up :)

i know and i might be getting some soon locally from a preserve type farm.

Eric is right about the moose,it is very nice.i have one piece right now that from 1 foot away no one could tell it apart from ivory.it is very white and very dense with basically zero visible pores.i also have soem very nice reindeer i'm putting on a Purpleheart sneaky right now.the color in the reindeer is grayish/purpleish,the streaks match the PH and it looks pretty cool.
