more high level 3c play

That was awesome to watch! Caudron crushed Jaspers...his CB control was spectacular. Jaspers played well...he just didn't get much of a chance at the table! I love the sportsmanship between the two players at the end. That's what professional behavior is. Very enthusiastic audience...obviously sold out. Thanks for posting that link Richard!

Jasper's had the high est average in a single match the whole week

40 in 8! A 5 point per inning average

He went

3,0,2,3,15,9,7,1!

Other players this week played just about as good
A Colombian did 40 in 10
Jeremy bury did 40 in 9

Torbjorn ran 12 in extra innings when he needed 15!

An outstanding world cup!

Other than its just more a fascinating world to me Now , the sportsmanship between carom players is just awesome

He's quickly closing in on Mr 100's title record

And he's still a spring chicken, of sorts

Holy crap
Caudron went

12-3-4-10-0-0-11 = 40 points in 7 innings with two "no scores"

He one upped Jasper's high average in a single match, and in the final!

5.714 average in a World cup final jeez loueez

Curious how much Caudron won in cash...any idea?

The UMB is traditionally rather discreet with that type of information. However, we do know that the first prize in a World Cup went from 5500 euro last year to 8000 euro this year, in accordance with Mr. Barki's promise that he would use the improved financial position of the UMB to make life a bit better for the players.

I watched a good portion of that. Very impressive. Thank you for making us aware of this.

Wow! As beautiful and difficult as 3-c is, it still pays way less than pool, even at the World Cup level! That's sad...:(

The other thing to note is that the top 12 players in the world rankings have their travel, hotel and entry paid to all the world cups, so they're not out of pocket much.

Great match, great video coverage. Caudron and Jasper are both amazing. Thanks for posting the link.

3rd or 4th point early in the first inning, red ball near frozen on the rail, such a strong shot

when the ball is frozen to the rail like that, the ball is sooooo small,
you REALLY gotta know how to aim your cb to get exactly where it can hit such a small target

thanks for the link
i always enjoy and appreciate high level 3c....
