B&D Cues location was on of several business in a strip mall destroyed by fire this morning in Springfield, MO.
News Report
The cue maker at B&D, Dave Ward, is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet and will go out of his way to help someone. He has lost everything in this fire and I'm not sure if there was insurance at all. This shop was his means of livelihood so I'm certain this will cause him great hardship.
We already have a couple of local fund raising events on the schedule and the local pool community is responding well.
I have nothing to do with fund raising efforts (except for this post) or the business - I just like Dave and appreciate the work he can do. Should anyone like to help out a stranger in need, I would gladly accept for him whatever you might wish to give and you can be absolutely certain that Dave will get whatever it might be. I am sure that Sherrie (manager of Dennis' Place in Springfield where the benefit tournaments will be held) would also be willing to act as a collection point.
For those of you on Facebook, you could probably contact Sherrie via that method https://www.facebook.com/dennis.place - some of you might be able to also read these postings - https://www.facebook.com/groups/390913967941/ I've not had much luck linking stuff on Facebook - but I tried.
Should anyone else wish to contribute via Paypal you can send it safely to my paypal address which is RLTSR AT Y ahoo . com
Please correct the address by removing spaces and @ instead of AT. The caps are also unnecessary but are there for clarity. Thanks in advance.
