After an uneventful break and semi-run, Kaci lays a perfect safe, but unfortunately it was on Alcaide's turn. David scratches trying a hero shot, and the Americans run out to lead 2-1.
JJ breaks into a perfect tic-tac-toe pattern, but overcooks his draw setting up the 4. Chris misses the safety and the Euros take over. Kaci misses a long 7, then retired-ex-pool-player-now-announcer Jeremy Jones buries a long shot all the way down the rail, and the Yanks take a 3-1 lead.
Kaci breaks and makes, then the game becomes a tactical safety battle. JJ eventually misses, but even with BIH, Kaci misses and leaves the ball in the jaws. Chris leaves JJ tough, but JJ makes the 7 and they run out for a 4-1 lead and the break in the next game.
After JJ's break and a failed safety by Chris, Alcaide left the 2 in the jaws. JJ, who has clearly been watching Shane way too much, made a tough side pocket 3-ball and threaded the needle with the cue to leave Chris straight in on the 5, which is purple for some reason. However, Chris missed the easy 5 and team Europe ran out to tie the match at 4-4.
