Love seeing Chris Robinson's stats.
Yep, if Chris hadn’t screwed up his shape which cost him that match on day 1, I’d say he was the one bright spot on the US team for the week. Actually I still think you could say that, as obviously that one mistake made little difference in the final outcome.

I think this is the key right here. We killed ourselves. EDIT: And they doubled our B&R rate.

Bad Safety: 13 - 8
Bad Position: 22 - 16
Break & Runs: 10 - 20

Time to let go of the lag argument. Per At Large, Team USA won just 46% of the racks in which it broke in this Mosconi Cup. That means that even in a match in which they break on the double hill, they were underdogs to win the match. They won 36% of the racks when Team Europe broke. In short, the US was unsuccessful in racks across the board, whether they broke or not.

No, the lag didn't kill Team USA, bad play killed them.

The US players play a totally different game and style than the Europeans.

The Americans all have uniquely different styles and capabilities, while the Europeans seem to be “cookie cutter” images of each other and I don’t mean that in a negative way.

They blend together as a team better than the Americans do. They are easier to coach because they are so much alike and possess the same mindset, playing skills, and game philosophy.

It reminds me of the Eastern European and Russian boxers as opposed to American boxers. The Americans tend to be more flashy and take risks while the Russians plod steadily along and staying with their plan.

The Americans need to have a lot more experience in a structured environment.
