Mosconi Cup Day One

I understand you want your team to win, but what’s up with Shaw’s crap sportsmanship? No fist bump or anything? Don’t be trash!!

Edit: I jumped the gun on this statement. I thought Shaw was being rude, but it turns out that they’re just not shaking hands or fist bumping due to Covid. My bad...game on!!

Something about the empty arena has made this Cup far less compelling.
I love the emcee with the 60's Afro. Have to wonder if this is really his hair. 😁

I guess it's fair now. False foul on Kaci and now a foul I've never seen called for not calling an obvious push out. It was obvious to everybody that Sky was rolling out on that one

There is something hanging in the air of this event this year, aside from no audience, but there seems to be a lack of respect between the players that is irritating. It's not a fun event like it usually is, at least for me. I like a good rivalry, but this year, it's not enjoyable.
That’s extremely sad to hear. To me, disrespecting your opponent is disrespecting the game. Let me take a wild guess - JS?

The Robinson pick is going to end up reinforcing my theory that a person's Fargo Rating is directly proportional to their skill level. Period. Sure, a lower Fargo player might handle certain playing conditions a little better. But I would always pick a player with a significantly higher Fargo Rating for a team like this if I was the person doing the picking.

Why pick a lower skilled player when there were higher skilled players available. Makes no sense to me.

He and some of the other Team Europe members seem to be exhibiting a poor mannerism. I don't like it.

Why is Karl Boyes commentating now if he's Team Europe vice captain? I like him, though, so it's cool with me. His thick accent, though, is hard for me to understand. Sounds like he's from Scotland more than England.

That referee, wait a minute. He's a snooker referee, I think.

I agree. However, Robinson has played fairly well. Probably got a little nervous on that 7 ball.

I wonder why a guy like Josh Roberts has never been given a chance. Even Jones himself would probably give the USA a better chance of winning.

Joey Gray, our Vice Captain did commentary in the second match as well.

Why is there all this background noise like they're at a construction site?

Shane doesn't seem to have that fire in his eyes... I hope I'm just over analyzing though.

Funny watching top pros shoot right into the rail.

Get over the nerves. You have 15k locked...get the other 15k and the title.

If a pro player playing in a team match of this importance, who is apparently more concerned with the appearance of their wardrobe to fail to take all the necessary precautions to insure his shirt does not potentially make contact with a ball on the table, he deserves the foul. It’s that simple.
Im fairly certain he adjusted his shirt, got down, got up again and adjusted his shirt a second time so your whole ridiculous premise and conclusion is just absurd.

On the one replay angle I saw, there was what appeared to be a foul...

Exactly my point - tuck in your shirt properly from the start and you won’t have to adjust it twice before a key shot.

You know, I like Karl Boyes' commentary. He's interesting. Though his accent is a wee bit difficult for me, I like the intonations that his voice takes.
