In rack four, Europe breaks dry but Bergman's safety is barely passable nd Appleton makes a good shot leaving Gray super-tough and the rack will now come down to safety play. Appleton's safety is excellent, but Bergman kick safe keeps US in the safety battle. Brillinat kick safe by Mark Gray but Rodney makes a ice kick and the safety battle continues. Appleton the first to blink as Appleton scratches off the one ball. US runs out with ball in hand. A very well played rack by both teams, but Team USA prevails,

We're tied at 2-2.

USA breaks wet and has a simple runout, foiled by Rodney's unthinkable miss on the five. Appleton misses shape onto the six, but, once again, gray makes a magnificent shot. Runout completed

Europe 3-2

Mark Gray has been simply magnificent this week. What a performance!

Rodney can't play position and he's capable of missing anything, that's tough to have in doubles. Oh and his safeties aren't great either

Rack six begins with a dry break by Appleton. Simple safe executed by Bergman and Gray's kick is a beauty. Rodney's chances and misses a difficult shot but leaves Darren jacked up with a two way shot into the side, hit with perfect speed, and the miss leaves the US safe. Bergman's kick leaves a shot but a tough one and Gray makes it anyway to set up the runout. Appleton miss on the six is costly.

tied at 3-3. Gift from Team Europe here, which seemed headed for hill in the match that could possible end the Mosconi.

Raxk 8 begins with a wet break by Gray. Runout looks difficult as the six and seven are clustered. Gray hits the three well, achieving three rail shape onto the four but Appleton goes wrong leaving bad shape on the five. grey makes it, but Appleton faces a combo and makes it. Nice runout. Wow!

Double hill.

Thursday's final rack, and possibly the last rack of the Mosconi Cup, begins with a wet break by Rodney. Bergman banks long but misses the two way speed and sells out the two, but it sits tough. The superhuman Gray has finally missed as Gray's long, firmly hit two ball jaws the shot in the corner. sells out the three and Bergman misses an easy combo. flukes the safe, otherwise the Mosconi was over, but the US will surely win the r ack now.

USA wins and the Mosconi, rather improbably, continues.

We have a Day Four! Did they drop their cues on the floor after winning the match?

Yes, all it took was a fluke safe after a bad Bergman miss at double hill that it appeared would end the Mosconi.

Should have been 11-2, but now when we win eight straight, we'll have an even better story!
