Mosconi Cup qualms

Jay, You need to let everyone know that your comments about Earl got you fired from the Mosconi Cup as what you had said about him on tv and were viewed as unprofessional.Maybe thats why you continue to post what you do and no-one is perfect.

Wow Lisa, you really surprised me with this one. I hope this is not indicative of what we can expect from you on here.

First of all, I NEVER worked on the Mosconi Cup! HELLO! Earth to Lisa!

And if the truth were to be told, I got a lot of acknowledgement for my comments about Earl at that time. NO ONE ever fired me for anything! In fact I was asked to come back and work on the Sky Sports programming of the WPC in Cardiff. And I made a choice not to return. After 9/11 I didn't fly for some time (years).

It's strange to me that you would decide to post this nonsense on here now, after the nice communication we had in PM's. Since my previous post where I apologized to you and wished you the best, I have not made one comment about Earl. Or hadn't you noticed? Maybe you are part of the problem after all.

Lisa, you may want to note my post #123 on the Earl vs. Keith thread. I made it at 8 AM on Sunday the 9th, two days ago. You made several posts on there afterwards and never acknowledged my post. I know you must have read it.

You tell on yourself Lisa by the manner in which you speak. I have a much better understanding of the dynamic between you and Earl now. You will say one thing privately and be very complimentary, and then do a complete about face publicly. There is a word which describes this type of behavior that I prefer not to use on here.

Who I like for the US

Unless I am mistaken invitations are sent by the United States Professional Poolplayers Association.

AzHousePro wrote ?Per our conversation with Luke Riches at Matchroom Sport last month on Runout Radio, Rodney, Johnny and Earl are already on team USA. The other players are yet to be determined.?

That leave 3 slots to fill.

The UPA usually does this by current ranking which gives us

1 Shane Van Boening 200
2 Corey Deuel 180
3 Ronnie Wiseman 150

The only problem with this is that there has not been 5 UPA sanctioned matches this year. When that happens they go to the seeding which is for the last 2 years.

1 Mika Immonen 505
2 Corey Deuel 465
3 Johnny Archer 440
4 Mike Davis 385
5 Rodney Morris 337
6 Rob Saez 315

Mika is not from the US, Johnny and Rodney are already going so that leaves Corey, Mike and Rob. If it does happen like this I would be happy.

I would like to see Corey who I am pretty sure will get an invite either way they go. Next I want Mike Davis to get an invite and to quote Jay ?I like your picks, except I might sub Mike Davis for Jeremy. Mike is very motivated these days and playing well every time out.? As many of you know, I am always in Mike?s corner. For my 3rd pick I would go with Shane even though the seeding shows Rob ahead. Shane has been doing very well this year.

dunno know yet who will join him, but Kosta Stepanov from Russia managed to claim the first spot in team Europe, remaining #1 in Eurotour ranking events. EPBF announced prior to Weert even that whoever is on top after it will be included in the team.
Congrats Kosta! Amazing achievement of young Russian!

Mosconi

Well, I enjoy watching Earl play, and I would much prefer to have Shane Van Boening than Mike Davis. Watching Davis aim and stroke is like going to the Dentist. Corey should be a given for the Mosconi Cup too.

I am not enthused about Saez either and I know he is good, but I watched him choke big time on TV on what should have been elementary for a Pro.

Has anyone ever thought that going by points may not be the best method for fielding the best USA team. Several real good players don't play in those events they use to qualify a team, like Walden, Jesse Bowman, Lil John, Luis Aldrich, and a few others.
