I believe one of the Taiwanese guys had a sick run to win a csi even recently.
Doubt it was a record, but the situation in which it was done screamed 'don't fukc with this'.

I saw a guy run 10 in a row playing the ghost. He had ball in hand after the break though.
I doubt SVBs performance against the Greek was a record but it was awesome

The action challenge 3 SVB puts a 4 and then a 3 together with a push in the middle. He does put a 7 together against Alex when they played 10 ball at the TAR studio. He also put either 6 or 7 on Corey in the first action challenge iirc.
Busty put 7 on Rafael Martinez in the Fatboy challenge. It is on accu-stats.
As far as I know, 7 is the largest 10 ball package put together on film, as described above.
What was so amazing about that match was that SVB had 26 B&R's on 49 breaks, or 53%.
But he had no huge packages -- one 5-pack, one 4-pack, two 3-packs, three 2-packs, and five singles.
That was at the 2011 event, with Bustamante winning 15-1, including the last 11 games in a row.
But the package was 6 (Games #9 - #14), not 7. In Game #8 he made a ball on the break, but he had to play a couple safeties before running out after a missed-kick foul by Martinez. In Game #15, Bustamante broke dry and missed 2 shots, but still won the game.
Bustamante also had two other B&R's that match, for a total of 8 out of 15 breaks!
All talk of packages aside, that match against Economopoulos was probably the best short rack rotation performance I've EVER seen. When SVB caught that gear about game 15 it was just sick. The Greeks quit clapping, just dead shocked silence...then they gave him a three minute ovation at the end, they knew they saw a gear most didn't know existed. I've got that match on my laptop, watch it about once a month...:grin-square:
Actually, in the first action challenge (against Corey) he only put together a four, many people talked about him putting together a 6 or 7, but that's all it was, talk. It was sold out in the begging and I only got to watch it when it was finally for sale on Vimeo. I looked and looked for a 6 or 7 pack, but it just wasn't there.
I do remember Matt telling that sad tale, now that you mention it.
Nobody recalls the specifics of the (one of the Ko bros. @CSI?) I referenced earlier?
there was a match where ko ran like 11 racks and out on dennis o. when the score was 14-4 dennis in a race to 15. something like that. there may have been a safety in there somewhere. it used to be on youtube but i couldnt find it just now. pretty sickening either way
i dont think it was the csi thing, this was a couple of years ago. you might be thinking of chang jung lin running like 6 and out on dennis but i believe that was 9 ball. still pretty sick though
I think it was the second race to 100 - the one after Alex's comeback.
It looked like Alex was going to go into the second day with a decent lead, then Shane steps up and runs a seven to close the day - I think he also broke and ran the first rack the next day, too.
I don't think it's on film but Mike Dechaine ran 8 racks against Archer in a tournament. Now that I am thinking about it, it may not have been 10 ball but I'm pretty sure it was.
