What do you think I'm referring to? Really I couldn't give two shits. I was just asking a question... a simple answer would have sufficed, but can never get that without being attacked, so take a valium and thanks...for your input there "cue dork"...
p.s. thanks for the round about answer to my question and Don't flame me PUTZ...

Did you really use the words 'dork' and 'putz'?!?!?

My nephew is more mature than that. And he's 2.

That's What Barry Tell Me FIRST TIME WE MET AT HIS SHOP...

all I know is Ken knows more about Gus. barry that damn near anyone out there, he has a god damned hard drive memory he dosent forget any cue, o he can describe them to you to a tee, who owned them etc with out looking at them. What ever he says is right, I aint kissing his ass, its a fact. If if wasnt I wouldnt say so.

Also leave Barry out of this he took over where Gus left off and were all lucky he did and is a honest man.

Its clear alot of people here dont undersand the relationships between Ken and the Szam family, it runs deep. Ken is getting rich off cues, he knows all the big cues and who ows them(any cue worth over $20K he knows about no matter who made it -unless its hidden away like the Gus box cue on Ebay was), I asked for a certain big cue oince and in a month he had it, for about half what other people could buy it for=perhaps there are 50 in the world and he found one, he called in a favor from someone. do I Like Ken? yes is he my best friend? no. is he the most knowlegelable cue guy out there most likely, Mark K I dont know much about, Ken is among the smartest if not the smartest cue dealer out there, even out side of cues his memory is scary he recalls things, specs, events conversations with 100% accuracy, I know I do too-I wish I didnt have such a good memory, guys with that talent are rare,

insulting people before you have the book on them is weak, hell even if I hated him I still got to give him his credit, I know Reggie Jackson-he is an asshole from top to bottom, but could he play base ball? just a little.

there is an old saying "Before you open your mouth and call the shot you better know the whole score" the insults are a example of weakness, kid shit. I dont need to defend anyone, but its a low class move to publically insult anyone, if you dont like someone pick up the phone.

Ken can somehow get his hands on cues that nobody else can period, he dosent write shit down he remembers it I'll ask him what I paid him for a cue a year ago he will describe the cue in perfect detail and tell me what i paid him, believe me I have tested him often he is batting 1.000. sure he has that NY short fuse disease, hell if I lived there I would too, take people as they are you might just learn something, thats better for all parties involved.

As far as Barry if anyone would say anything bad about him, WOW thems fightn words, I wish I was half the man Barry is. And no i'm not ass kissing for a cue I have a monster collection of his work, perhaps the largest of anyone. I dont need another cue, I need Barry as a friend for personal reasons.

Be nice to people you'll go alot farther in life-if thats what you want???
"BE HUMBLE"I talk with Barry on the phone quite few times and when I was at VF me and my lovely wife Carolin visited him at his shop. We have great conversation. We talk about a lot of things. From my point of view Barry is the most HONRABLE AND HUMBLE MAN/CUEMAKER that I ever met. Up until today I still call and talk to Barry once a while. GREATEST HUMBLEMATER:D I KNOW OF. He answer all my cuemaking question when I was at his shop plus complete shop tour....  WHAT ELSE CAN I ASK FOR????:D :D :D " BE HUMBLE ":D :)PIECE OUT......:)

Too many people on here spread rumors on touchy subjects. Barry is a class act and is worth his weight in gold. The man has more honor than most and has done a great job in keeping the Szamboti name a live. Thanks Ken for informing us of the details, but I truly believe you never had to justify any actions by Barry or his family and the "last work by Gus."

Step back and think before you type once in a while.... you would be surprised at what others would be offended by....

Now back to the thread...

While I don't know, I would have to think Tony from Black Boar has sold one of the most expensive cues first hand. Just a guess... but I think he could sell a 100K cue
I would have to think the Lambros cue made for Mr Lucky, the Emperors cue I think it was named, would be the most expensive cue to date. All ivory with silver dragons inlaid on it. It was at one VF, I think three years ago, the cue is gorgeous, and although the price was never disclosed to my knowledge, I believe it went well into 6 figures. I was told by someone from Lambros shop it took 5 years to build.

Might not be THE most expensive.

It sure was unattractive though. Again, just my opinion.

Just my Honest Opinion...the most expensive cue was Efren's $10 cues because he won so many tournaments and it was a 6 figures price money too using that cue lmao :D:rolleyes:

I agree i did not care for that Lmabros cue either. I just dont see how that cue even sold close to what they said it sold for. With the "Celtic Prince" you can see all of the intricate inlays and almost begin to imagine how much time it took.

Hi MH,
Hope you got the Caps..
Guys, For all it's worth,
That Golden Buska was never Authenticated.

Bill Schick told me they don't want him to see it..
He's one of the only guys would have credibility to Authenticate these types of cues.
As far as he was concerned, George never made a solid handle rosewood cue. If I remember correctly.. So, don't quote me on that one.

The Golden Cue, made by George Balabushka was made originally for Harvey Mason, at the time a number 15th in the world ranked straight pool player from NYC in the 60"s. Harvey's daughter, JoAnn Mason Parker, was the Women's US Open champion in 1990. There are pictures of her with that cue. Harvey Mason was a very close friend of the Balabushka family, hung out many times in Georges shop, and came to Bushka with the design, the Gold inlays, and a rosewood table leg that the handle was turned from. I am a very close friend of Harvey Mason, and this morning we were discussing the Golden Cue, and how it was conceived. Harvey still owns 2 Bushka's, btw, and I've shot with one as well.
This chat brought me to this forum this afternoon to research the cue. I came across this thread and the misinformation in it. Harvey owned that cue for many years and finally sold it to the author of the Billiard Encyclopedia, Victor Stein, for a substantial amount of money at the time. Yes, I do know that amount, but it is not a vital part of this conversation at the moment. The cue is pictured in that book. Harvey Mason is 76 years old, is still a teaching pro and billiards historian. He is still one of the deadliest shooters out there. He resides in South Florida, with his wife. We speak daily in the pool room.
