I look at all these $1000 cues and think wow the only way I would shell out that much money would be to have my own built. since I don't have the scratch for that I will stick with my 5280 rm-6. I belive one of the cues cues ive ever used. what would be your most underrated cue?

20-25 year old Mali cues, some of them play great, and they are very cheap.

Cuetec R-360. Under $200. Buy the Cuetec screw-on ex and you're good to go. Johnnyt

Omen and Carmeli

I think that Omen and Carmeli are both severely under-rated and under-priced...as far as cue for the money. Both are exceptional builders but their cues are very inexpensive IMO.

86-87 Helmstetters are way undervalued for how they play. 86-06 wrapless is the best playing $200 cue I ever bought on craigslist.

Old fullsplice one piece ebony Brunswick rack cues. Or the old Brunswick ebony fullsplice trophy. Imo some of the best hitting cues out there.

As far as production cues go, I think Falcon cues are a great value and have some nice designs. The older Falcons from when they were still being made in Canada are some of the best production cues out there imo.

For the low deflection crowd.....
....I think the Predator sneaky pete is their best hitting cue...
...and the lowest price.

I play with a $245 Viking and it has a good solid hit, has the Vikore shaft also. Dont see how you can go wrong with that for that number.
Someone else commented that it had a good solid hit to it that tried it.

Underrated-Ernie Martinez for quality & playability
Under priced-Terry McFadden & Steve Klapp

One cue mentioned was Jensen, and I agree that Jensen cues are typically great players. I own a few and have had several, all terrific players.
As far as Cuetec is concerned, I don't care if they produce the greatest playing cue of all time, I would never recommend them, because they have produced so much crap over the years.
If a custom cuemaker builds one bad cue he gets tortured, Cuetec puts out thousands and thousands of crappy cues, and people still recommend them.
I have 2-Cuetec butts that I don't even think you can get matching shafts for, and if I did, they would still be worth about 40-bucks.

I have 5 new Steve Klapp cues that are price very low
140-year old growth wood shafts

For the money, I would have to say Jerry Olivier is a great cue for the money... Very solid hit
and great craftmanship. He is also one the easiest builders I have ever worked with.
