Burn all jump cues

I bought a $63.00 two-piece Dufferin. Works just as good as my Cuetec R-360, my $350 Viking, all 4 of the DP's I bought and gave for presents, and a under $100 Mc Derm, and I'm sure the Duff plays as good as most any cue...no matter what the price. Johnnyt

Tight wad .. miser .. penny pincher...

If you were willing to spend just $149,037.00 more, you could be playing with this beauty.

I remember back in the day walking into a K-mart and paying $20 for 2-piece Duffy's and they rolled straight and hit really solid as well.

...I hope everybody I play thinks it's all about the Indian, and you can play your best game
with an inferior arrow.

I've read on these forums where they say Efren can beat anybody with anything...
....I got a news flash for y'all....
...Efren is VERY particular about what he plays with....as is Alex.

Nice one Johnny:groucho::groucho: and you are correct. I have a few OLD hand picked perfectly straight Duff's put away I have restored that are solid playing. They cost me under $50 each.

I snatch them up, restore and tune from time to time to keep as giveaways for a friend's who are down on their luck to put a smile on their face and something to make them feel better about themselves. Funny what a new cue no matter what name or logo or how much it costs brings joy to a player without.

Have a good day,

-Kat

I guess you could get lucky at any price point for cues. I have a cue now, costing me 40 dollars, that outplays anything else I've ever tried, apart from an old philipino cue that got stolen, incidentally costing about the same. I also owned 2 others like it that were basically crap. The higher priced cues will have a more consistent quality, but I'd rather handpick one cue out of a hundred cheap ones, than take my chances with one expensive one, if I had to use it in an important match. Some que parameters are subtle and not easily understood, you just know when you hold it, that you found a good one..

Your right,

I spoke with Efren and a number of other top players and they all have a preference and they stick to them at all cost.

I have a ONE PIECE Dufferin-18OZ- been played with 8-10 times and only by me.

Such a pain to drag around and you sure as hell cant leave it on the next table. Otherwise, it's all i would play with.

See, this is what I fear most.

Getting old, and losing the feelings in both my hands.....:yeah:

:D

My first cue was a used Viking that cost me $50. It was the only cue I ever needed. I wish I had the foresight to just get a new shaft after the original warped, rather than thinking it was an opportunity to "upgrade."

well i have to admit i am getting up in years. i also have only 30% feeling in my right hand due to an injury 5 years ago.

i sold my custom a lil while back for 2,5000.00 and made a down payment on a truck and used 200.00 of it to buy a used meucci. after playing apa for 4 years and being stuck as a 5 i just went up to a 6 using that 200.00 meucci.

what does that prove ? nothing :D

Lorider, $25000 on a custom would've bought me a nice truck. That size of a down payment it must be one heck of a truck.

Johnny, I have a two piece Dufferin conversion by Willie Speed that plays super. It's out on loan to one of my friends right now and I need to get that back ASAP. Thanks for reminding me about that...LOL.

Proves you like the play and confidence you have with your $200 Meucci. I have allot to choose from and am playing with a 80's whippy 83-3 Meucci Original lights out for me at the moment for some unknown reason. Pocket looks BIG.

I have friends bugging me and tossing $$$ on the table constantly after hitting it. It's crazy, I could easily flip for triple what I paid. This is the first Meucci I have owned due to all the hate and negative reviews I read over the years. To me, It has a unique buttery smooth hit and spins the ball ridiculously with one of Jeff's Milk Dud installed.

Yep, and I can bang nails in all day long with a brick, but I'd much rather have a nice hammer

And if any cuemaker or cue company in the world said, here's $25K, play with our cue for a year, there would be line a mile deep. Yeah, they'd change the tip and maybe work the shaft a little, but I'm pretty sure they'd be good to go.
