Moving pool tabel when not in-use

Hope this is in the right section. If not please move. I was looking to purchase a pool table for my garage. My main problem is I need to be able to park a car in there when the table is not in use.

Does anyone have any experience with moving a pool table? I was looking at these for under the legs

I would have never believed it but Real King Cobra told me to get a large set of furniture moving gliders when I needed to move my 9 foot GC.

The crew who was here also didn't think this had any chance to work and to all of our utter amazement, it was as if the table was on ice. How is it possible? I dunno - it works like magic. :)

That was on carpet, but might also work fine on a concrete garage floor though I'm not certain.

They have some that work on concrete. Did you keep the pads under the legs all the time, or did you lift it everytime you wanted to move it? I ask because I am worried it might slide when leaning in for a shot

it won't slide by simply leaning on the table with the gliders in place - it takes a couple of guys to push it but once it gets going it's very maneuverable.

did not leave them in place beyond the move plus sat on the gliders while construction was being completed.

Keep in mind you need to check the leveling of the table when you move it back and forth each time. A place I play in moves tables around all the time for bands and events, and the there are funky rolls in just about every table there because they don't re-level them.

I played at an elks club a few times that had two 9' GC that were on wheels, to move for dances and other events regularly scheduled. I can't remember exactly how the wheels worked, but I think there was a lever to have them touch the ground when the table was to be moved. Another thing they did was have 4 holes drilled in the ground by each wheel. There was a rod attached to the table that would go inside each hole. This way, the table was returned to the exact same place every time it was moved. (the rods were locating pins).

I wasn't a member at the club, but a guest 5 or 6 times. The tables rolled very well every time I played there.
