Mpore Forum Problems-Quick Reply seems out of order

I'm no computer wiz but I think they need to shut the site down until they get it fixed right. Right now it's a waste of everyones time trying to get anywhere on the site. Johnnyt

Honestly Johnny if we all PM AZHousePro advising him the problem we are experencing it might hep him get to the root of the problem

Mike said he moved the site from one service to another, and the old service could be playing game because they lost his biz?

So your plan is to do the "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" bit?

Mass pestering Mike isn't going to help.

As far as the old service goes - they're out of the picture. It's like blaming a draft in an old house for being chilly in the new house.

Having no direct knowledge of the setup, but knowing the typical way these things are done, I'm guessing that Mike doesn't own his own physical server for the forums and said non-existent server wasn't physically moved from one hosting location to the other. It's much more likely, when Mike set up an account with a new hosting provider to run the forums, that just the data was transferred, and likely the forum software had to be installed.

You'll also note at the bottom of the page that the version number is 3.8.1 - that's the current version of vBulletin. Just the other day people were kvetching about the forums running under an older version. Therefore, Mike either installed the new version clean when he moved the forums, or updated an older copy - either way can cause issues if the install doesn't go just right.

Patience, grasshoppah. :)

Edit: In another thread, there's a guy from the new hosting service posting about issues. From what he said, it appears the ISP is handling the forum software install/etc, not Mike himself.

Anyone else having this problem. Also Edit Feature not working.

Edit works - mostly. It just doesn't re-display your edited post when you're finished. If you go back to the thread listing and go into the thread again, you'll see your post with the edits. (Just happened to me.)

same here. QR is not working at all, editing works weird. And time response from the forum is too long, sometimes resulting in 'page cannot be displayed'

Have patience. These things are bound to happen. As for shutting the site down until everything is in perfect working order, I'm afraid it would drive some of our members mad hitting the reload button to check the status!

coco... it will be ok. AZ will be fixed sometime soon. Just be patient and find something productive to do.

Mike H or his representatives, will take care of all the problems you've so carefully mentioned so many times.

This should be fixed later on when we upgrade the skin.

With my Mac, Edit does not work, I can not edit, or Quick Reply.:o

Just testing one of the new features, multi-quotes.

cool

Seems like multi-quotes are only available in the --tech two-- modus, and not in the --azbilliards v3 style--.

I prefer the tech two modus and have always used it. The other modus has the same layout as the onepocket.org, and didn't know of the other modus before someone told me where to change it :o

For those who don't have a clue what I am talking about:

Scroll down, then check on the bottom left. There you can switch modus. (there are actually two tech two modus, and I am now using the first one, which is the newest)

(Someone with better language and more knowledge of websites can probably explain better, and the differences)

Is it possible to get a white field where the text is, like it was on the older version of tech two?

It isn't good for my eyes now when it is all grey.

AZHousePro:

Is it possible to get the button for "New" back, in the menu on the top? I used that all the time to check the newest articles, but now I can't seem to find it...

Roy...I've always wondered how people put multiple quotes from different people into one post. Still don't quite "get it", but thanks for the explaination!

If you switch to that modus, the --tech two. Then click on a thread and read some posts.

Just to the right of the quick reply button you can now find the multi-quote button.

Just click on the multi-quote button on all posts that you would like to quote from, but click on the regular quote-button on the last post you want to quote, then you can start writing your post.

Was it understandable? lol
