With all that has been posted here about the non-payment of prize money by the IPT, and the negativity it has spawned, I wonder why Mr. Deno Andrews doesn't just post something to inform somebody about what is going on..I have seen that he has posted here before, so it's probable he is reading the forum here at sometime or other.......I don't know him, but many have praised him in the past as a straight-up kind of person......seems he could quell a lot of this sniping and negativity (which can't do much good for the rep of the IPT) .... I know some say those not members of the IPT shouldn't worry about it, but with the thousands of posters or participants on this forum, I would think that the IPT should regard it as an important fan base which does matter.........................?

Deno Please let us know whats going on. If we new things were all good some of us might play in these qualifying events. But for $2000 the risk of not being paid is too great. And staying silent does nothing to help.
I don't envy the position and pressure you have been put under and I know its not your fault and if you had your way everyone would have been payed the day they were told they would.

Deno is just too busy playing with his new baby to be bothered with trivialities like checks for pool players.
But the almighty computer knows all and tracks everyone who dares enter a forum website. That also goes for the IPT website. So if you want to be on their best side you better check in there a few times a day.

Keep in mind that the IPT said they would not actively respond to forums about the IPT. Given this you should also know that he pays attention to the segment on 3 cushion billiards in a different thread. So you may think he is lurking here, he may be simply looking at questions in the 3 cushion thread.
Just some thoughts, I just do not want to see unjust that's all. I support IPT because I want more than anything for pool to get positive recognition. My hopes are with success for the sport and that is all. Players win and so do league members win if this works out.

If Deno Andrews was worried about anyone seeing him online, he would simply log off his account and lurk to his hearts desire.

I think the IPT should make a statement either on their website or through email to the players. I don't and wouldn't expect them to post anything here but the players certainly deserve a response.

Just wanted to say hi and see how you were. All this negative talk about the IPT must have you quite upset. Even speechless.
I think it is quite rude of people to question you and your ethics. And over such trivial amounts of money. Let them wait and eat cake!
We all know that the IPT is the greatest thing to ever happen to professional Pool. And we are fortunate to have such a fine fellow in charge. You wouldn't tell a lie or mislead anyone now would you. And by the way, did I thank you for sending my check. It was quite nice that we only had to make a few phone calls to make this happen.
I appreciate all that you and your boss have done for Pool and the world. You have a lot to be proud of. After all, players actually got paid quite a bit of prize money already. Even if it took three weeks, that is quite prompt in the world of big business.
I have one recommendation though. The qualifiers are far too cheap. I think you should charge $5,000. After all the winners will be guaranteed $100,000 in 2007, and be a member of the the most important Tour in Pool history. I realize that only a few events are scheduled now, but be sure to let people know that more could be added at any time.
Once again congratulations on a job well done. Your brief tenure in the spotlight will insure you a place in the firmament of Pool lore for years to come.

P.S. Deno, I was wondering where you acquired all the skills you have for organization and operating a large enterprise. Did you ever run a boiler room? Just an educated guess.

Jay, your posts crack me up! My family has played and been paid in many of your Reno events and because of this I respect your opinion alot. With a known number of players and a structured payout the checks should have been waiting for everybody within a few hours of being knocked out of the tournament. Like everybody else I truly hope the IPT is on the level but as far as paying 2k for a qualifier at this point? If it looks like dogsht, feels like dogsht and tastes like dogsht then it's probably best not to step in it. See you guys on the table..............Marc Swisher
