my 11 year wait ... down to one week ! My SW !

Hi folks,

So frustrating, but must have self control...

I ordered two SW cues, on Nov. 2000 from a grungy pool room in ny.

Completely wrote them off by 2006/7

then in nov 2010, i get a letter from laurie franklin, telling me there ready to start working on my two cues !

the first cue is "Birdseye maple < Alves green/ yellow/ purple laminates"

Now i find myself just trolling the forums till i get it !

I know what you mean I have barely came on here an then Laurie called me I ordered my cue when I was 17 years old lol but I can't wait should be here June or July pau faro with red and black laminates solid black linen wrap black collars and butt cap with fancy rings cannot wait been trolling the Internet just looking at cues everyday now so close !

for those of you who are curious ...

my second cue is Gaboon ebony< Amaranth [purpleheart] white lam

I'm waiting till august/sept for the second cue, because I'm trying to see if i want matching predator shafts. i've always played with predator shafts and i'm worried how i'll feel.

I'm really glad you are happy about the cue but to me it doesn't look good for an 11 week wait! In fact, to me, it doesn't look like a Southwest.

Maybe as others suggest, you could take some good photos so show that baby off.

hence the reason i said as a quick pick ... had to go away for the weekend and being stuck on a tarmac for 2 hours in Chicago didn't make my weekend any better.

so i sat there, trying to think of the best way to take a pic of my cue.

then it hit me. just take a damn pic at home instead of the pool house.

and this pic shows up the veneers.

just spoke with laurie today, and the brother to my first cue is gonna be home by july 20th ... knock on wood. lol

As I sat here in my room looking at the second and last fed ex box from Laurie.

I was a little worried that this cue would not be what I expected.

Then I opened it, and my jaw drop.

After 11 years.

It was worth it.

I have that combo and it's one of the best hitting SW's I have ever owned and the best looking. The single white veneer with the purple and black is just perfect IMO.
