My 1st table. GCII model "E1"

The ball box trim and feet look bronze finish while the corner castings and rail trim is aluminum. Is it a GC II upper on a GC III frame?

Kinda looks like a hybrid of GC's.

This table is a 100% correct Gold Crown II. GCII's have bronze feet, ball box trim, anodized aluminum pocket castings/rail trim and molded plastic apron skirts. It appears Don also has the original Rosewood painted stain finish on his table. Judging by the slate backer boards this table was only recovered 2-3 times in its life (even showing original tacks for its first cover) and was most likely in a home environment as the rails, rail trim, pocket castings, counters and nameplate do not look like they were exposed to years of commercial use. A true time capsule.

Cool. Thanks for info.

I'm jealous. That there is one of the best tables ever. You won't regret the new cloth.

Thanks guys! Since I arleady uploaded them online... here ya go. I paid $1200 for the table and accessories + $300 for the move. Still needs recovering and levelling.

This thread is getting really annoying. Everytime it pops up I think I'm gonna see pics of this table. I click on these links and it's nothing, in the upper right corner it says hidden. Still haven't seen this table. Done pulling this up.

Enjoy your table.

I get them clear as day. Huh. Weird.

Wow, that is a super nice looking GC! It looks like it was never in a pool hall! I don't think I've ever seen one where the various metal pieces were not all corroded and/or scratched to hell.

Not growing up in the Diamond era, I have to say that is a simply incredible looking table!

I have a 60+ or so year old Anniversary which I dearly love and has lots of battle scars that I got when my dad decided about 20+ years ago his basement family room needed more room for the grandkids and his desk, etc. and he knew I'd get more out of it at my house.

I'll NEVER give it up, but if I did I'd be looking for a classic GC and would be proud to own one.

Enjoy!

Believe it or not I got a real nice GC1 9 footer for free! Some guy had it stored in his garage for 30 years and just wanted someone to haul it away. A little paint and buffed out all the aluminum and it looks like brand new.

Just waiting on the mechanics to arrive. :boring2: :boring2: I have everything cleaned, polished (as best I can) and all the staples & tacks pulled.

And to think that the movers/mechanics I hired didn't use a single moving blanket during the move. I wish I'd known better, I would have demanded it. There's definitely a few new scratches but there isn't much I can do now.

I pulled all the tacks and staples. It took about 4-5 hours! There were tacks probably from the original cloth?, small U shaped brass staples from the 2nd cloth? and then the larger silver t50 style staples from the 3rd and last cloth?

Selling this GC2 near atlanta. Anyone interested? It's had maybe 100 plays since being set up and refelted. We just don't play it enough to warrant the space it takes up.

My thought also.

The rails look nice.

Much as I love Diamonds, there's something to be said for how true gold crown rails play.

😲😲😲 You had more posts than games on it?
Yea, it was a nostalgia thing for me. I'm 54 and played on a GC a lot when I was late 20's, early 30's. I thought I'd play it a lot now but it's turned into a place to fold laundry. It works really well for that though! LOL If I sell the pool table, I'll have room for 5 pinball games... which I'm more into than pool evidently.

Three words - Enjoy your life!
