First, my thanks to Kam. Cue is in almost unused condition. One shaft unhit and the other LIGHTLY played. Short ivory ferrules on both shafts make this feel awesome. I bought it to replace my other Cochran, but with the condition it is in, I havent decided if I am gonna make it my player. I actually did play with it for a little while. And I believe Mike was right. This is the best playing cue he ever made. Rosewood everywhere even the joint. So much grain its sick. Protectors add that extra flavor to it. Anyway, enjoy the terrible pics and again, thanks Kam. This cue has found a home. And to my knowledge, this is the only merry widow cue that Mike ever made.

Thanks Steve's. You are both right. Mike made some beauties. This cue has a happy home. Not fancy like most of his cues. Just a beautiful pice of wood. I am really having a hard time deciding on whether to play with it or keep it in mint condition. My other Cochran is in great shape with no scratches or anything. Just well played. Nice cue

Mike made a few merry widow cues. He did a few of them in ebony and rosewood and stapilie. A couple were wrapless. Is there an over under on this one till Valintines. :thumbup:
I rember almost buying the exact cue with a differant joint from Mike. He called. I called back within 10 minuites to say yes and it was already sold. That cue had the steel joint and an elephant wrap. My buddy got it.

Nice cues there. I would rather not ever see my old cue again unless it is in my hands. You probably understand why. As to the merry widow, I like the one I have better. Be it the only MC with a rosewood joint or the custom protectors or just the fact that Mike said it was the best playing cue he ever built. Take your pick. I doubt that there are as many as you seem to claim as that pic is the only other I have ever seen. And since they are both rosewood, I would venture a guess that Mike made them out of the same piece of wood. He probably liked how well the first turned out so he made a 2nd. If there are more, lets see some pics. Over -Under is 3. And I will take the under.

Oh and BTW, what the hell is stapilie? Do you mean sapele?

Great cue. You know little of Mike and Timi's production. Tim Cole had the Ebony MC cue. Mike removed a name from it for Tim. Then added inlays in the forearm.That is 3.
I was lucky to know about most of the cues and where alot of them went. Your claims are baseless. The over under was for how long you keep this cue. Your merry widow MC cues under 3 cues is a looser on cues under. Let alone this being the only solid front cue.
Glen Shepherd owned the best hitting cue to evey come out of Timi or Mikes shop. Mike told me so. It is not this cue.
The best hitting cue besides my 8 pointer :grin-square: of course was as professed by Michael the fancy veneer cue with the etched steel piloted joint and 25-30 ivory inlays in the ebony points. It had Glen in awe. How it played better than my ivory and silver inlayed floating veneer cue is beyond me. I drew the ball two table legnths from 8 feet away!
The logo on your cue was duplicated on a couple more cues.

You are just mad that I got this cue and not you. As far as their production, I didnt care about Tims. I talked to Mike about his cues, when we even talked about cues. Hell, I saw most cues a month before the person he was making them for. Wish I had kept most of the pics that he sent me. I saw both of Erics last 2 cues well before he ever laid eyes on it. Same with Steves box cue. Bottom line, I would appreciate it if you keep your petty opinions and attitude out of a thread that I am just showing off a cue that a good friend of mine made. As far as selling the cue, I only sell cues that I make profit on. I paid a premium price for this one. It was worth it in my mind. But in your mind it probably is only worth 800. At least until it hits your hands. Then it will go to 5000. Please keep your posts out of my threads as I dont need or want your opinions. Thanks, take care and Happy Holidays!!!

Oh and what etched steel joint cue? I dont know of an etched steel joint cue that Mike made. The only cue of his that I know of that had a fany joint, other that Erics inlaid joint, was the STAMPED 4 pointer that Mike gave me to give to my brother. Enlighten me oh swami.

Yea. I wish there was a way to keep some from posting on any thread that you have started. There is an ignore list, but that just makes their remarks hidden to you. Thanks again to all. Well, took it out and played with it. It is my new player. This cue plays better than any other cue I have ever hit with, just like Mike said. This thing is on auto pilot when you get on the table. Tips were a little soft as neither had really had any time on them. I used the one that looked like it hit about 20 balls. Other shaft is still unhit. Next time I go play, I will try the other shaft out. The short ferrules are sweet. Didnt know how I would like them, but was amazed at the difference. Next cue I get, I will have ferrules just like these put on.
