of course i like it
its my favorite style cue for playing
the color choice was his,i would never have thought of it,but wow!!!!
The only thing i might like some mother of pearl diamonds and dots in the points
What do you guys think?
It really is a quality cue, this will surely become a favorite among players and collectors alike
I am glad I got in on the ground floor,#5 for Dean
Look at those points, long, sharp and touching at the wrap. The 3 marks I really like.
And that straight grain clear maple
You guys can take it to the bank,we are going to be hearing good things from this canadian
wow!love the color combinaton of veneers:smile:
what do you call that brown weave thing at the handle?thanks
i think some cuemakkers put phenolic so that the wod of thehandle is not glued to the wood of the forearm directly
balabushka did this because the gles available in his era were not as effective putting wood next to wood, many follow his lead in this practice today
jerry franklin differed ,saying this merely exposes twice as many surfaces to the epoxy and increased liability to the break down of the glued or epoxy area.
therefore southwest does not follow this practice.
i suspect tradition is is the main reason today as the new epoxies make the seal just as strong next to the wood
i could be wrong ,but this is what jerry told me
