Hey Guys,
i know it´s long ago since i posted my last cuepics, but i have to show you my beloved Gilbert Set.
But first i have to thank Sean Brown from Cueaddicts, who gave me the chance to own these pieces of history,
and who allowed me to use his great pics from this Annyversary set.
My first Gilbert was the "Indian Sunset" and i still love it, but this Set for me means history.
Andy used the wood he allways loved most (Purpleheart), and the points and veneers are perfect.
The ivory inlays and the engraving are perfect, too, and i still like to take it out each day and unscrew the J/B.
I have never owned a J/B with points and veneers, and the look at that pieces of wood from the bottom is awesome.

I hope you like the cues and the pics (thx again Sean),
Erich

Erich,

Congrats on the Gilbert set and great pics! Andy is one of my favorite cuemakers and one of the best guys in the industry. Purpleheart is his favorite wood and it was only fitting that his 20th Anniversary set was made of PH. I don't know how many people know it, but Andy collect PH cues from his fellow cuemakers. I'm not sure how many he has, but I know he has quite a few.

Andy is every bit as great a guy as he is a cue maker. Always a ready smile.
Congrats!

Very Very nice ,,set,,thanks for the nice words in my wanted for sale area ,,My set brand New Also for sale,,,,,

I love the set, but for the pics we have to congrat Sean !!
Thx, Erich

Amazing set you have acquired.

I have it now for some months, but it still amazes me, you are right

Beautiful pair of cues you have there. I love the inlays, and the black textured leather wraps tie the color composition together nicely.

Erich
I saw a set of these up close (Kenny has it now) and was impressed with the overall package for the set.
Really great work and the design is impressive.
Nice pictures and thanks for posting these to the gallery.

Thx for the compliments, and you are right the wrap fits great and the inlays are marvelous - great taste, snookered

I love Gilbert cues. These two are GREAT. Good job Erich!!

Hi Craig, hope your JW is still in your hands - i am counting my money :grin-square:
Nice to see that there are some people out there who recognize Andy´s and Vickie´s great workmanship.
I love many of his cues, maybe that´s the reason why i have another one, too.

Thanks for your kind words, Myron.
I think - like you - what you get in this Set for the money is amazing.
- the Ron Thomas Case with the Ivory engraved Plate,
- the J/B Gilbert Cue with supersharp points and venneer in a Breaker, you know, and
- the amzing playing cue with the typical Gilbert Ivory Joint Hit, razorsharp points and venners again,
perfectly fitting the J/B and these many ivory and silver inlays with awesome engravings, too.
That package is unbelivable, and if i didn´t have one until know, i would try to get one for sure.

Andy Gilbert is always on my list of the best cue makers.

WOW, nice to hear that - it´s the same in my mind, too.

Erich,

I don't think you can ever go wrong with a Gilbert cue. I've owned at least 6 of them and I feel they are one of the best built and best playing cues out there.

As for my JW. My last offer still stands :)

When you are ready let me know. It is the nicest JW cue for under 10k i've ever seen! HANDS DOWN.

Your friend, Craig

Hi Erich,

Great 20th Anniv set by Mr. Gilbert! I took set #8 of 20 from Andy and am a very happy camper! The purpleheart is simply the best I have seen. As Worminator said, Andy has a whole wall of purpleheart cues on the rack by his table, and he looked long and hard to find the wood for the anniversary sets.

See you at VF!

I know that you own one of these sets, too, and that you are playing with it some times.
