Hi Bill,
Sorry to hear of your loss. In my opinion, pets are loving family members and the loss of one causes deep pain. Yes, do keep the avatar of Dudley - as someone mentioned, he'll live on forever here at AzBilliards!

I wanted to offer my sincere thanks to everyone who replied to my original post. Reading through your posts was comforting to me, more than I would have thought. I had my wife read the thread and she was comforted as well. To some it might seem silly to get emotional over the death of a little parakeet, but other pet owners understand how deep the attachment can be. If you have a pet who recognizes you and seeks your company over the company of others, you are probably pretty attached to that pet. Anyway, I just wanted to state a public "thank you" to all of you who took the time to write a reply to my post.

I knew there were more reasons than the photography I liked you, Bill. My wife, of 38 years and I are a couple of the greatest animal, avian lovers on earth. We have 4 indoor dogs including an 85Lb black lab and a 19 year old white fluffy lady of mixed heritage. We have 4 designated dog bowls and one designated bird bowl that sits on a window ledge that goes down to floor level and keep filled with assorted seeds. Our dogs have gotten where they will sit and watch the birds eat without barking at them.
Trudi and I send our sympathies to you on your loss. I know Dudley was a part of your family as ours are.

Bill, I feel your loss. As a companion of two wonderful creatures myself, one of which is my avatar, the comfort they give you cannot be compared to anything on this planet. I am having severe health issues with my avatar (Cyber Fox) so I feel your pain. Our thoughts are with you in your time of loss. Keep Dudley flying high on AZ. Paul and the pup.
