A-Train
Cynic By Nature
Hi everyone, this is my first post here. Looking forward to many good pool conversations with everyone!
Anyhow, we've been playing for a few months now and I've been documenting the adventure on another pool forum. I don't want to post all the details and bore you all, so here is the story up until now.

BTW, you can sign up and start talking there too. We encourage that.
Anyhow, back on the point, at this point we are at 240 games for him and 238 for me. It's hard for me to believe that after nearly 500 games in the set that we are only 2 racks apart.
To give a little backstory on myself and my friend, we are both in our young 20's and we've been shooting pool for about 4 years now. He got me into pool shortly after he got started and showed me the ropes of the game.
Since then we have slowly progressed into almost completely different (yet statistically equal) players. He is fundamentally good at pool. Good stroke, great form, good table vision. He prefers to use natural angles to get shape, but lacks somewhat in the realm of english. He is also a little hot tempered and a few mistakes on the table can spin him out of the zone and effectively ruin some of his night.
I am also fundamentally good, but my strength lies in my ability to spin the ball in the way I want to get shape, but my downfall is that I rarely hit the ball past a medium speed and when forced to hit the ball hard I will frequently miss the shot altogether. I'm a very mentally balanced player, which is a blessing and a curse. I can hang tough through rough nights, but I may not be as cognizant of the downfalls of my game currently.
Anyhow, I will be updating this thread as the score and situation changes. Also, I will check in to comment and answer any questions you may have. Stay tuned for more!
