My Bluegrass may not have sold after all

All PM's responded to.

My reason for not wanting to ship international is irrelevant.

I clearly stated in the auction that I don't want to ship international.

I am open to discussing it with the guy who won the auction but he has not contacted me. I sent him an email asking him to contact me to discuss the auction.

Nothing from him yet.

You are a trip John.

Yeah on the Capone though.
It is a nice looking cue.
Hopefully you get some action on it.

it doesn't really matter that the rings don't line up. Just have the joint refaced a little at a time until they do.
refacing the joint only matches the joint, not the rings

i'm not sure what you know about indexing rings, but , in my opinion, if the rings don't line up( the indexing), they need to be removed and adjusted to match. My thoughts are that coming from a reputable seasoned cuemaker, these rings should line up, unless the shafts were remade , by someone other than the original maker without the butt or that these shafts were made my a lesser experienced cuemaker

that's just my opinion

I don't know whether you can really rely on that opinion considering both the age of this cue and other custom cue makers who have their rings unmatched - consider SW here.

If the rings match in colour then they were made at the very same time - as you may see other cues that have rebuilt and matched shafts and those shafts' colours will differ as they get either lighter or darker by time.

FYI, I have had a two thousand dollar Capone cue that was the sweetest hitting cue with absolutely perfect veneers, points, inlays, rings all done in ivory without a drop of filler in between the materials and the rings didn't line up perfectly at the joint.

Wrong...if you reface (take off some material) from the shaft, you will start to get the rings to line up....

Shotmaker,

I have talked to Richard about this cue and these ARE 100% the original shafts that came with the cue.

Like David said, look at the color of the Phenolic. Look at the color of the Bocote in the rings.

The colors match, therefore, they are original.

Shawn is also correct on refacing. If you take a hair of material off the joint, the final seating of the shaft will be changed because you have to turn it a little more to get it tight. They will eventually line up.

Man...I really feel like I should win something for being correct...maybe a coupon to Wal Mart...something...ANYTHING

Someone buy this cue, so I can stop trying to talk Mike into a trade!!! :)

I don't know what it is, but I can swear I hear the old Irish Spring jingle.

Oh wait, that's just John whispering sweet nothings in my ear about the Bluegrass.
