Here is the link to my photos from Derby City.

There are a lot of shots of Efren,Dennis,Corey and some other pros. Most of the pics are of action matches and just little things that caught my eye.

For you Indiana people I got some good shots of Mac Ashby playing Efren and a lot of shots of my homie Jeff Clay.

Lot of pics of Shane in action.

I would love to hear any feedback on the photos. This is all new to me so I would love some tips.

This is "new to you"??? You did a phenomenal job! I never would've guessed you were wet behind the ears at this stuff. You did a great job in all different lighting.

Thanks Timberly. Dianne Hoppe's advice to jack up the ISO helped alot.

That was very kind of her to help you out. Like cuemakers, photographers can be a little funny when it comes to sharing info... they never know when you might be their next competition. :p

Thanks for sharing the pictures. You take better pictures than me, so I can't help you there.
Did you have to upload those one by one? I'm looking for a site that will let me upload a whole bunch at once.

I just signed up at flickr.com. I used there flickr uploader software and you just drag and drop. I upgraded to a pro membership for around $30 a year for unlimited storage.

The coolest thing was I didn't have to resize any of the pics for the web. The upload software does it all. I just dropped a folder with 600-700 monster jpegs in it and walked away for awhile.

You can set permissions on who can view your pics, like public acess or just friends and family. After they are uploaded you can divide them into sets or however you want. I really like it so far.

JC,
Awesome pictures. Many thanks also for your EXTREMELY BRAVE coverage of the Grudge Match. Most photographers would worry excessively about lens breakage (any photo involving breakup would surely put extreme stress on a lens), personal injury (proximity to a homicidal maniac), and hygiene issues (not only the marmot jerky grease issue, but I believe breakup's customary yearly bath is in the Spring...too late to do us any good at DCC).

Good shots there!!

The D80 is building a good reputation for shooting in low light, and these shots attest to that fact. It looks great! It's said to be better that than the D200 in low light. That's saying something....when the D200 is priced at twice the retail of the D80.

Usually when you run the speed (ASA) way out there, noise takes over. Doesn't seem to be the case with the D80? Unless your using a de-noiser??

The real way to take care of the white balance issue, is to shoot RAW. Then, you have complete control over the temperature of the shot.

Good job!!

WWW.PBase.com is another hosting website that allows zip files. Very user friendly, with a large percentage of pro photogs using it. 26.00 a yr for 200 megs of storage. It's hard to beat.....

Thank you both for the replies. PBase is up to 400 megs now for 26$, but I think I've decided on imagestation.com , I like it so far. It's free, unlimited storage and you can drag and drop as many files as you like at once. You still have to upgrade to be able to watch full-size images so it's not perfect. Oh well, can't have everything for free.
