Doug. Quick advice... Try taking the pictures on a white or lighter background. It will give a lot more light on the cues and the colors will not get lost with that nice leather sofa of yours

I am using a standard flash right now, but am looking into getting a flash ring that actually mounts around the lens. I just got a 18-250 mm macro lens with 62 mm optics. The lens is amazing, I just need to learn how to use it. It's kinda like pool, my equipment is definitely better than the user!
