Im interested in one. What is a price with my name on the front of the lid. 2x4. Also one with the lid attached, if it isnt I am almost sure I would lose it in a day! Just a ruff estimate would be fine. Thanks
on my tubes i didnt have to sew it but if you want the diameter then take the inside diameter of the tube and multiply it by pie which is 3.14 i believe. the cut it out. but i didnt sew mine, its honestly not needed if you pull it tight enough.
Very nice case.
1) What color leathers do you offer? You mentioned brushing with a textured dye – so is partically any color an option?
2) How do you get the leather laser engraved? Is this a service someone else provides to apply to your leather? Is this engraving just one color or can multiple colors be incorporated?
3) Can you post your side handle design? There is a variety of options for handles. Some are well padded. Some are braided style.
4) What about semi-unattached top? Have the top removable except for a leather strap attached to a side ring – so folks do not lose it.
5) You might consider showing scrolling patterns, initial carving styles, carving examples, etc.
6) Do you have any examples of leather items you have carved?
I am in Houston on the west side of town toward Katy. Where do you shoot when in Houston?
Phillip, don't mean to highjack your thread. But here three pictures of tubes before insert and after. Don't remember who original post them.

Looks great!
It does seem like the butt on the right in the pics is a little deep into the tube.
Can you share how you did the lining on the tubes? I know I asked about it in the other thread, but it still seems real tricky to me. How did you know what size to sew the tube? What material did you use?
The only problem with doing it this way is that it makes the case bulkier and bumpier than it needs to be.
However, this does give me an idea of how to do something that been on the back burner for years. Since we have a laser we can cut parts like this easily and this gives me the inspiration to make a really cool case with pocket contained inside the case. It's been done before by me and New York case but not in the way I envision now.
Sorry to jack your thread there Phillip. While you have access to the laser engraver you should think about what parts you can be cutting using it to make your life easier.
