I thought i'd share this with you guys.

Worked with lathes for years but this is the first that i've owned.

Its nothing special and i need to make a few modifications to suit my needs but i couldn't pass up the opportunity as i snatched it for only £100.:thumbup: It came with the stand, 2 chucks, 3 sets of jaws, and a few other extras.

Before and After; 13 hours of industrial de-greaser and elbow grease :boring2:

Nice find

Great job on the clean up. I would have snatched that up for sure. Now you will speed mucho $ to work on cues.

I have that same machine except mine has a mill head on it also. I've done a zillion repair jobs on that machine. 20 mm bore?

25mm bore. I'm going to bore it out to 28mm so I can get the butts a little closer to the face of the chuck. The spindle is plenty thick enough to pinch 1.5mm off the wall thickness without weakening it too much.

I'm also going to install a rear chuck, an extended rear roller steady with polyurethane wheels and extend the bed. And if I get time i'll add some taper bars.

Bored mine out to 1 1/16" and made my first 10 cues on it. With some mods of course.

You are going to have lots of fun with that lathe
