My Gina's

Once again, excuse the poor pictures but I got too pissed to redo. Trying to get the lighting right, I unscrewed the a new LED bulb in one of the shades in my antique lamp over the table and blew it out. I then broke the fixture trying to get the bulb all the way out! This will be a nice electrical repair bill.

To the cues: I have 7, 4 Ernie made for me after I visited him in 1997. The first two were so nice I had him make two more players. All white is ivory, even on the players...except the 1st Gen Domino. The box cue and ebony nose are my most recent additions. The first generation Gina, with Dominos in the butt sleeve, is 1 of 2 that Ernie signed as such with the made and refurbish dates. One was for Jim Rempe, the second Jay Novak.

Extremely nice collection

What wood is the forearm on the feathered cue?

And that touch of turquoise with the white ear wrap is really special. This is another example of Ernie using a material (turquoise) I wouldn't think of using on a cue, but he uses just the right amount and designs it in just the right way and it turns out amazing.

...and I'm old enough to remember when he was first making cues to take a trip in the way back machine with that domino cue, wow.

Best to you

Thanks for your comments Tony. Ken Kerner, Hi End Cues knows the story on the wood and can best tell it. I got the cue from Ken. If I recall, it was a curly purple heart that Ernie had for over 30 years. Ken, if you see this, please help me out.

I like the feathered as well. Reminds me of the snakewood and silver veneered box cue that Jimmy had and Ken has now. Still wondering whether to take that one off his hands.

The white elephant wrapped cue I may have owned myself a few years back. I think Ernie made a very limited number, perhaps 3-4. Will P has one as does Rick Rodgers.

Purple Box Cue?

I thought no one liked those!
You know besides me!!
Beautiful set. That Old Domino Cue is insane. Takes me way back.
Nick :)

a better look

Here is a litte better look at the purple heart wood compliments of Big Ken and the inlays on the "Blue Cacique" from Bill G. Thanks so much for your comments Paul and Nick.

Phil....you're killing me with these cues......I've searched for a Gina and haven't had any luck and then you whip these out......the simple player designs with ivory joints
are not be found anywhere.......My goodness, plus the Szamboti's.......what else you got in the cue treasure chest? Any Hercek cues stashed away..........Come on......
I know you can make me even more envious than I feel at this very moment......... you possess an amazing collection of pool cues.

Thanks Matt and Troy,

I had two great Herceks but I traded them last fall on a Big Barry Hoppe. As you know, I was pretty sick and probably not thinking clearly.

Phil,....They're ALL fantastic but the Domino 8 pointer has a special place in my heart... I love the older 8 pointers...

Phil,

Absolutely stunning collection of Ginacues! Every one of them!

The Purple Heart box cue and the Blue Cacique cues are beyond
description, and they look superb next to each other.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Some topflight cues!
