my home rack sucks what do you suggest ?

Both are great, as well as the nice solid wood rack that Diamond sells. Magic rack sometimes bugs me having to pick it up after the break and the Delta 13 is loud without the inserts.

Old school

It's kinda funny. I'm now over 50 and still use the same rack I used on my dad's table when I was 12 years old.. I put some furniture steel pads on it about 20 years ago and it still racks them tight every time. Probably have over 100,000 racks on it
No chit..

I noticed my wood rack works fine for 8 ball. When I rack 9 ball with it, there is a space between the two balls behind the 1 ball. I've found that if I turn the rack 120 degrees (1/3 of a turn) it will rack them tight. After I found the sweet spot, I marked the back of the rack. It must be made a little off.

I have the Delta that doesn't rack any tighter than a good wood rack. You still have to spend some time getting a tight rack and it's all chipped up. I have 3 or 4 magic racks for each game. I don't use the 8 ball ones much as I feel I can rack them faster with the Delta. All 4 of my sets of balls are like new. JT

I have both, and prefer the magic rack for 9/10 ball, and use the delta rack for 8ball

magic rack is the only thing I trust for 9/10 ball. My 8 ball magic rack seems to be loose though, the wing balls have never been tight (head ball touches fine). Still spreads far better than a usual rack, but not as explosive.

Magic rack is great for practice at home. Saves your back. Tights racks quick and easy. Cloth divots caused by breaking are taken out of the equation as well. The delta is a great rack especially if you are using it on new cloth, but cloth worn in from breaking you are gonna have the same problems with balls not locking up tight.

I like true rack cause it works for one pocket and straight pool cost is high but quality!

Prefer it over delta rack! Member Dana Stephenson here makes them. Only a few left then done. Not doing another batch last I heard. I took the last two-tone one, red and blue left.

Get the 1 piece Delta-13. You'll save yourself money and it won't loosen over time compared to the premium model.
