Nice Rambow! That's a real classic.

Do I see an old Joss West where the Gina is supposed to be?

No, its a Gina.

I am on the look out for a Joss West, or a Schick.

I have a cue ordered from Rick Howard as a Christmas gift to me.

I have a Showman cue on order (probably about 4 years away).

Nice collection Ken-

Thanks for sharing. Question- outta the 11 cues which is the 1st one you acquired that got you into the whole cue collecting craze?

Mike

Palmer

Ken,

Are the points in your Palmer Titlist purpleheart?

Regards,

Steve

Steve -

Nope, but it is an interesting cue. Never refinished all original, except it had the wrong type of bumper. Chris sent me the right styled one.

It came with 2 original shafts, non-screw off tips and 2 made by Phillippe. It was exactly what I wanted with "Original By Palmer" without someones name.

Interesting question

Mike -

Believe it or not it was non of them. Started with an old Meucci, then 2, etc. That got me started. I always try to trade up, so I trade a cue + cash to get most of what I want. At the time I was living in Springfield, Missouri and EVERYONE was playing with local cuemaker Andy Gilbert cues. I asked him to build me one, and the journey began.

The Pfd cue, is another strange story. I go to ALOT of tourneyments, play in some but in the PRO tourneyments, obviously just go to watch. I met a guy there that was starting to write a book. We got to talking and next time we met he had me writing for 1999 Billiard Yearbook. It was an excellent book but a financial disaster.

I told the editor that I really didnt need the money for writing, and he had several cuemakers that were short on cash (or so they say) and wanted to trade cues for advertising in book. I got the Pfd for writing and then worked with Paul Drexler on building me a cue with the gift certificate from book.

LOL, funny how life works out isnt it?
