Having held and hit with a few Searing cues in the past the one thing that has always stood out to me are the way the shafts fit into the piloted joint. The tolerance is so tight that it is hard to describe the "squeeze" as the wood of the shaft insert presses into the piloted joint.
I am patiently waiting (not really) and can't wait to see what is in store when i finally get the call that my Searing is ready.
I love that this cue is housing a sweet SS 1/2 joint. Congrats on a great pick up.
Better pics but my computer recently went down and my programs are acting up.Hope you like them. Scroll to right to see the butt. Just lint on the half joint.
Is the joint steel or brass? The one photo looks like it has a gold tinge.Seems like most half joints like the one you have play outstanding.I know a guy who has a JerryR with a half steel joint and it plays great.Takecare
Thanks for all the compliments but it was Dennis that made the cue perfect. We talked about what he was going to do and decided on simple but classy.
This cue was a PJ that Dennis took to the next level. You could never tell that this was not the way it was built originally. After it was re- built the new shafts were so deflection free. Took a little while to get used to but it is a great stick with perfect balance..
Unfortunately it has not gotten the play it deserves due too some personal issues but hopefully in the near future it will.
