Just got this yesterday and it plays as good as it looks! Can you guess who the maker is?

Hard to get good pics of the inlays! They glow like green embers in person...

That's a great looking cue....but I can't spoil who the maker is!! I can't wait to get my cue that he is finishing up!!

I knew you'd know, John. The last cue I had from him was a bit fancier, but this one is just a classic. The points are razor sharp and even. The ebony, ivory, and silver rings above the wrap just make the cue. It has clear straight grained maple in the forearm. Thick SS joint with a 5/16-14 pin. Wide silver rings in the collars. Brown original Brunswick bumper. The ebony is as black as night. I looked the cue over real well and I can't find ANYTHING that even resembles a blem.

I took it to the poolroom where I play yesterday to hit some balls. I got in a money game with it (I would usually never think about using an unfamiliar cue in a money game!). I played lights out with it! Solid hit and great feedback to the hands. Shafts are like glass!

In addition, the guy is a real pleasure to work with. Sends you a lot of pics, and communicates very well...

Hiya Steve,

Very nice cue, indeed.

From our talk a couple days ago....what's the verdict??!!?? ;) :D

I think the maker of this fine cue is Steve Klein.
Am I correct? What do I win?

Kevin
We have a winner! Great guess, Kevin... Tell your boss to give you the weekend off :D !

Thanks again to Steve Klein (Cutter on AZB)! I just can't say enough good stuff about his work. It is just like Adam said in his post... It looks like a Bushka from a time capsule with all the correct and standard features, but with abalone inlays, which really make the cue come to life.

Thanks to all for taking a look and for all your comments!

Steve

Awesome, sir. I guess you can send that Nova my way now!!! :) :) :)

Mark,

The Nova is being retired and will be sent to a stud farm where it can frolic and have lots of little Novas running around. What do you think about Butterfly Cocobolo for a name :D ?
