I got your rests :-D

Yes, oil finish. I'm afraid, hard skin on my hands would damage clean coat finish :-D

I've received the cue about a month ago and again was amazingly surprised how beautiful it turned. All points even within 1mm, this is not a really simple to achieve with a fulllsplice butterflies.

The cue was built again with influences from russian billiards, where a cue plays as a whole part, not only the shaft. Although the shafts are very stiff, the overall construction allows to play english and draw shots with very little effort. Also deflection seems to be pretty low.

I already played 3 tournaments with my new cue and was able to beat some considerably good players, so adaption was not really difficult.

I highly recommend to try Dmitry's work. He is a very good person, and his prices are very modest considering the difficulty of the work he produces. A fellow german cuemaker said to me he wouldn't build similar cue under 3k.

The matching J/B is almost done. 3 pieces for ling and short jumps, ca. 18.3oz and a balance point at 20.3''.
