After a long wait my new Martinez is done. Enjoy some crummy pics, this cue is WAY better in person. You can't see most of the silver inlays in the pics but there are a lot of them! Scroll down the page for better pics.

That's probably the nicest Martinez cue I've seen. I know a couple guys that play with his cues and wouldn't trade them for the world. Congrats!

Very nice Brian. That must be the one you said you had coming. Thanks for sharing. Randy

Lucky guy!

Beautiful cue. I love how Ernie makes 6 pointers and that's one heck of a 6 pointer. Enjoy! I'll bet the hit and feel of that cue is phenomenal!

Good shooting to ya.

My Review after playing

I put my new Ernie through its paces tonight, playing 6 hours on the new Diamond Pro Am tables at felt. The cue is balanced exactly like I like it, and hit exactly like I wanted it to. The best way I can think to describe its playability is its similar to a South West, only livelier. It weighs in at 19.3oz and the shafts came in at 12.8mm. I am going to post some additional pics and see if I can get the very very fine silver work to show up. There are 400 inlays in the cue including the 4 shafts. Its also hard to see the 2 re-cuts in the six points. The cue looks really cool from across the room and it reflects light off the silver and just kind of shimmers a little. As you look closer and closer you begin to see the fine detail work which is very intricate yet subtle. There is nothing gaudy about this cue, yet its extremely fancy. Ernie is engraving his logo on the custom extension he made with the cue and I'll have it next week. He is also making custom joint protectors for me too. I couldn't wait to pick the cue up so I got it before the jp's and extension were done. Hats off to Ernie Martinez, his current work is astonishing. I am very proud of Ernie, he is doing so well now and he seems happy. His wife is a pleasure to talk to as well.

Better Pics

Notice how sometimes you can see inlays and other times you can't, well in person as you turn the cue inlays appear and disappear. The cue looks so different depending on from how far away and at what angle or light its in. Its mesmerizing.

Thank you, I feel that way too. I would part with my Balabushkas and Szambotis before I let this cue or some of my other Martinez cues go.

Thanks Randy, yes it is, and I have few more in the works including a purple heart Szam tribute that will be sure to please, an ebony point / maple cue, a tulip wood/cocobolo cue, and an ebony/cocobolo/maple cue. Stay tuned.

Thanks, I love his 6 pointers too. I'll be posting pics of 3 more that are in the works now when they are delivered, hopefully before the end of the year.

I like Ernies 6-pointers too...

I'll try to make it down to Felt this week to see it in person.
Very nice work

Super fancy cue. With that joint and ferrule combo, I bet it hits solid. The inlay work is outstanding!
