My Review after playing
I put my new Ernie through its paces tonight, playing 6 hours on the new Diamond Pro Am tables at felt. The cue is balanced exactly like I like it, and hit exactly like I wanted it to. The best way I can think to describe its playability is its similar to a South West, only livelier. It weighs in at 19.3oz and the shafts came in at 12.8mm. I am going to post some additional pics and see if I can get the very very fine silver work to show up. There are 400 inlays in the cue including the 4 shafts. Its also hard to see the 2 re-cuts in the six points. The cue looks really cool from across the room and it reflects light off the silver and just kind of shimmers a little. As you look closer and closer you begin to see the fine detail work which is very intricate yet subtle. There is nothing gaudy about this cue, yet its extremely fancy. Ernie is engraving his logo on the custom extension he made with the cue and I'll have it next week. He is also making custom joint protectors for me too. I couldn't wait to pick the cue up so I got it before the jp's and extension were done. Hats off to Ernie Martinez, his current work is astonishing. I am very proud of Ernie, he is doing so well now and he seems happy. His wife is a pleasure to talk to as well.
