Just arrived this morning, and I'm thrilled! Tulipwood into ebony, veneers (in to out) are black, orange, green, white, ivory 3/8x10 joint, tulip/ebony/silver rings, solid black linen wrap.

Davis Blank

Rayjay,

Your cue is fantastic.

Whats the weight, wrap, shaft size and who was your builder if it wasn't John Davis ?

What was the build time from start to finish ?

Super cue :D

Ray,

Phenomenal looking cue, sir!!! When you told me about the specs, I had a feelling it was gonna be nice....but had no idea it would come out as fantastic as it did!

Congrats on the new acquisition, sir. I bet it was worth every bit of the wait!

Kind regards,

Mark

Hey Tommy! John Davis built the cue. Turnaround depends on what you want, usually around 4-5 months, but talk to him. Shafts have ivory ferrules @ 12.75mm, wrap is solid black irish linen. Lol, I about drooled on myself when it came this morning too!
:p

Ray

Very nice looking cue and I am sure the play of that cue is phenomenal as well.
Will be hoping to hear on what you think of the play and feedback.

Enjoy,
Myron

Beautiful looking cue there Ray. I love the points and rings. Good choice of woods.

Ray, that's a great cue. You should be very proud, very vibrant and attractive colors and woods. Must confess, when I opened your first picture, I had a little bit of a flashback....that splice reminded me of a 70s model J Palmer, except with that gorgeous tulip in there. :)

***about time to get a Davis blank (or two or three) ordered

Hey sharp cue you have there. Out of all the Davis cues that I have seen finished .....................I like this one the best. I like the bright color of the veneers.

John is alive and well

Rayjay,

I'm going to call Mr. Davis and order a cue, maybe two.

I'll tell him because of the cue that he made for you, that is the decideng factor for my order. You cue is beautiful !!!!!

You should have had him put ," Custom built for Rayjay".

I had a cue by Craig Peterson Cue that had that inscription on it (Custom built for Thomas C. Richert ) and I loved it, I guess not enougth to gamble it away though,

But it looked great..... I stared at it for hours :(

This cue should move your playing level up a step or two. :)

I like to travel, maybe we can hook up and play some, I hope you like Straight Pool.

Thanks my friend,

Tommyd1 :D :D

John's work is really coming along. I'm really happy about that. Absolutely love the colors. Congratulations - you have a very special cue there.

Tommy, if you're ever in Albuquerque be sure to look me up and we will have some enchiladas and definitely play some, and I do like 14:1. I think it's great that you will be ordering a cue from John, please tell him hello for me. He's a great guy to work with.

Chris, thank you sir! I agree, this is a very special cue.

:p

Beautiful looking Davis cue, the ebony/tulipwood combination looks great. Is the ivory joint capped or sleeved? A great cue you've got.:D

Thanks,
Martin
