Well...my new Kikel arrived today. This was totally my design with a little help from Dave. I am very excited about this cue. Dave nailed every aspect of the cue, from the flawless execution of the design, to the butt and shaft tapers, to the overall weight and balance. The cue is 19.0oz with 4.0oz shafts which is absolutely perfect for me. The cue plays phenomenal. This is my first cue with Kamui tips (thanks Cyrus!) and I really like the feel of the tips so far.

The veneers are white/black paper/red/black paper/white. All white is ivory. The red inlays are red coral. It has silver stitch rings, a 5/16x14 piloted ivory joint, stingray embossed leather wrap, and matching joint protectors. I could not be happier with this cue.

Please give me your feedback on the design of the cue. Thanks!

That is one gorgeous cue. I think it is the nicest looking Kikel cue I have ever seen - just enough, but not over done. Very classy and the colors, veneers, inlays all work well together.

Beautiful work from Kikel again. The details in this cue look from the pictures to be flawless.

How would you compare the Kamui tip as apposed to other tips that you have used?

Good luck with it.

Ian

reminds me of a bill mcdaniel cues joe salazaar has had for a while same barbell type inlay in butt and same butteflies between points. BEM forearm though

Very nice design, good color balance. Just enough red to make it interesting. I agree with one of the above statements, best Kikel I've seen.

A Clear Success

Superb choice and indeed the best Kickel I have seen (IMO). I've enjoyed the imperial Inspiration and his pink ivory masterpiece. The points and veneers of this design work so well, its a cue to be proud of. Congratulations to you and Dave.

Agreed

Absolutely superb work. I have owned a few of Dave's cues, and yours is truly perfect. I will share my new one as well when it arrives. CONGRATS!

Outstanding design and execution! The points seem extremely sharp for a Kikel cue.. Is that something you had Dave do on this specific cue??

i would have liked to see some of that thick red/white that you have in the rainbows executed somewhere in the butt. you have restated the inlay and veneer pattern in the butt, but not the rainbow.

i don't mean there HAS to be reverse rainbows or even ellipses for that matter, but the strong red/white color splash is missing in the butt, imo.

It looks like you have a gift for cue design. Your colors work real well. Thanks for helping me with my choice of colors ;) . Great looking cue!!.
