Posting pictures wasn't working for some time,not for me:wink::wink::wink:
However it is working now.Enjoy:wink:

Paul Drexler has always been a master in selection of wood that he uses in his cues. Looks like he has done it once again.
I believe you will really like this cue when you take delivery.

Thanks for sharing.

Just curious, does the cue considered a full splice? Interesting with the prongs going through the handle like a full splice but with the ring between the forearm and handle.

Snookered <=== love the look

That is a FS and Paul must have split the stitch ring and cut a groove with a parting tool to install it in the A Joint position. Very nice touch.

Yes, Gerhard that is a blank that John made specifically for me with the wood (Amboyna burls) I sent him. Was not sure the veneer colors would really work out until I saw the blank turned - but when I did I had John make a Padauk full spliced wrap less style blank as well - just waiting for the right customer . . .

Paul

ps. The cue will look even nicer with the brown leather wrap on it

How come???:smile::smile::smile:Were you at Paul's shop or what?!!!?
I guess it looks even better in person.
Thanks:smile::smile::smile:

The PFD shop is 45 minutes from my shop. I get to see some great work when I need a fix. lol

Well,this is something what I miss here a lot.If I would need a fix I would have to cross 10000 miles to have it.It would certainly be nice talking cues with someone who knows:wink:
No cuemakers around.Even in Europe there are no any worth of mentioning:o:o:o:sorry::o:o:o
You have lucky and you can learn on cues much easier and faster.Guess whenever you come in his shop for a visit you learn something about building process as well and have no any doubts that you have learned a thing or two:smile:

How long was the waiting for this cue?
Very interesting ....i love full splice with A ring :D

I can answer that . . . the wait was longer than expected . . . this was a project that for whatever reason got delayed - MY bad . . . I admit it, but perhaps more importantly the customer got everything he asked for AND more . . . I may be slow but I am honest and appreciate customers who understand that not everything goes exactly as planned.

I try to answer all my emails in a timely fashion and work very hard to stay on top of things in the shop, and still have a life away from cue making - but sometimes the balancing act becomes a real challenge. I am not perfect - I will just leave it at that.

The cue looks fabulous and I am very pleased with the way it turned out.It certainly meets all my expectations and even more.There is a lot of work on this cue and everything comes out perfectly.I was wainting on it some time,even more than expected but the communication was great all way thru and Paul has been great and helpfull from the very beginning and all way thru.
Beside this I've got a bigger cue than it was planned so I am more than satisfied and would suggest Paul to anyone who would like to havea great playing cue with which would be built perfectly since we all know that his workmanship is top notch.
Thanks:smile::smile::smile:
