My new pickup - Wes Hunter Classic Cue

So here is my new pick up.

What do you all think - blame the pics on me, but this cue is gorgeous!!!


Still waiting to take it out, and hit with it - My wife had too big a honeydo list this morning!!! So it looks like next Wednesday:(

My new Hunter

I believe the forearm is Brazilian Rosewood - but no matter what, it is a beauty, and a great example of Wes Hunter's craftsmanship. And I believe the same shaftwood as that other extremely skillful cuemaker known as Eric Crisp.

Is that right Qbilder?

Thanks for the comments everybody. This is my keeper - FOR NOW!!! And the pics do not do it any justice. The box ringwork is awesome.

Wes' Ring Work

Look at Wes' Ring work..
He made the Green Veneer Rings before he slotted it..
That way, He could "Float" the Green Boxes.. Clever!!!
Who made his Joint Caps???? ;)

Yeah, what this cue needs is some really nice JP's!!
And just to let you know, the "green" veneer is actually a bright blue - a very beautiful blue!! My pics are not the best, but hopefully show the beauty of the cue. YEs, his ringwork is very nice.

Brazilian....love it!! You always seem to fall on your head when it comes to cue deals you lucky #@$%^#$ :D
 
You will have no complaints on the hit. Just wish I could come up with the cash to get one of my one. Congratulations.

Wes has definitely come into his own...nice ringwork for sure (it is an Omega_DPK throwback)...nice to see something different than the SW style ringwork.
 
Kinda reminds me of an older Omega/dpk. points, veneers, and rings. Nice cue. I will be in New Orleans on the 18th. I normally go to Buffalo's on Airline. Maybe we can hook up.
