My "new to me" southwest

GoTulane

Shizzle-rific
Just picked up a Southwest cue to see what all of the hype was about:D 8-10 year wait must mean something, and I have found out that it certainly does. The cue is a beauty:

Here is a description:
A 6pt. Double Laminate, BEM onto a Cocobola nose. BEM base with a 3/4 in. Cocobola block. Brown lizard wrap upgrade from Ted Harris. Decorative ringwork at A,B,C,D,and E. Matching Exotic Wood Joint Protectors.

Specs:
Pin #30808
Butt 16.1oz
Shaft #1 3.0oz 12.8mm
Shaft #2 3.2oz 13mm

The cue hits great, and I am glad I picked it up. Goes well with my other cue (Mardi Gras Jim Lee custom)- now I just need a nice case for both cues, and my upcoming 2nd custom from Jim Lee.:(

What do you think?

Thanks for looking,

Michael

nice cue.hard to beat a SW for playability and overall fit and finish.they are almost always flawless in both respects.

thanks for all of the comments

Yeah, really like the color myself. And the playability and hit of the cue is amazing. Very happy on my pickup, and do not plan on flipping it anytime soon - but you know me:grin:

Awesome.

One detail I really like is the fact that the long section of the butt sleeve is the lighter wood. It basically creates the effect that it's part of the points.

Absolutely stunning SW!

This cue looks alot like the Wes Hunter cue I picked up from you. Just without the ivory. Substitute the coco for brazilian rosewood and they're alot alike. Great looking cue!!!!

Love the wood combo and the veneer color.
Do the shafts really weight 3.0 and 3.2 oz? Kinda light

From New to me to dead to me

Well, as many could have predicted - the cue has been sold back to the last owner. It is very nice, but I just can't keep a cue for longer than a month. Well, I have to blame it on my new Jim Lee custom that was made for me by Jim, and it will keep many cues in my case for the most part. But the old owner is the owner once again, and very happy.

Thanks,

Michael
