my new Whitten Collecter Case

No problem John!

Basically, I suggest you get one. They really are great cases that protect your cues well.

And that's the point!

nice review

I don't have this exact case, but I have three whitten cases so here's the answers based on owning those..

Usually; however it depends greatly on the diameter of the shafts and butts. The shafts I make usually have to be 'poured' out of the case, as they fit snugly. A Joss East shaft usually slides right out pretty easily. If they are tip up you can usually get your finger around the ferrule and pull the shafts out that way...

They work great! These are pieces of rubber that are placed in the bottom of each tube with a special 'tool' supplied with the case. You trim the rubber pieces to exact length- this makes each tube perfect length for the shaft to be put in there so it doesn't rattle around, and it is not 2" from the top where you can't get to it.

It can if your spacers and/or shafts are too long... Over-length cases can be made if you have a very long cue.

They can go in either way. I prefer pin up and shafts with tip up. If you don't clean your tips before putting them in, it can mark the nice leather lid with chalk...
Thanks Buddy, that's the Point, sorry for my poor spelling english:sorry:
Ralf, always love Whittens:grin:

I think the 1X2 cases are great- I have two of them right now (Burgundy and Black).

I also have (my first) a 2X4 from back before the turn of the century that still looks great (Brown).

A lot of cues have come and gone but the case remains!

Wow, stunning looking case. Are you able to share with us, or I think is me only on the weight of this case? I am contemplating of purchasing such a case to store my cues.

The new Whitten Lite config isn't necessarily comparing apples to apples vs the older ones. The tubes are individual & they are inset under the lid. Hence the questions relating to the new cases.

super light and small for a 6/12 Case

So Folks, the Case is here one Day before Santa comes:grin:
All what I can say, I love them so much.
It is brutal light and not really heavy when you fill them up.My Buddys can not believe, 6 Cues and 12 Shafts are in as I open the Case.
It looks like the Tower, stand 100% right and all inside is the Whitten Quality to protect the Cues or Shafts. I use all the time a small Microfaser Cloth between the Cues and the Lid, my other Cases too, so nothing is damaged or rattelled in the Case when you walk. Thanks you so much Joe for this outstanding Case.
Will make Pics later when have Sun.
PS:I must really hard looking to found the Cutline from the Leather, can not feel, I was thinking the Body was one Piece:eek:
Have nice Holidays
Ralf

Ralf:wink:

The Whitten 6x12 cases are unbelievable! All the quality we have all come to love and expect with Whitten cases, but unbelievably LIGHT!

I bought the first one they made, and used it as part of my trek to the last ICCS show. It received some great comments (obviously). By the way, Joe Whitten haso has a new 4x8 case in the light version that I would swear is lighter than the older 2x4. Also a great case.... I have several of those also.

Thanks for sharing the great pictures. Rep your way!

Merry Christmas Ralf. I will be in touch!

Will Prout

Love that case Ralf, very nice materials selection. Love the ostrich, reminds me of my 4x8.

Having come up with this 6x12 configuration for Joe over a year ago, I'm really happy to see others going with it as well. The size really makes for a nice collector case & is great for storage.

My 2 were made before the lite style came out, I think the lite design makes them even better.

Congrats!

Thanks

Ralf,

Thank you for the kind words concerning your 6x12. I had tremendous pleasure making that case for you as we are very proud of our new "lite" case models. Also thank you to Will, Walker and all of those that own a Whitten Case.

That's a great case, Ralf.....very clean and classy look. Ausgezeichnet. :)

Enjoy and happy holidays !!
