this cue is beautiful. One of if the the nicest classic scruggs I've ever seen. I never would gave traded this cue! Good choice
 
Great choice in rejuvenating this great early Scruggs. do you have before pictures??
 
Wow! One of the nicest Scruggs I've seen. Now THAT is old school. Congrats.

I've got a TS on order too but styled around a Bushka I saw here on AZ.

The only before shots I had were on my phone camera. I ended up deleting them because they just weren't in focus well enough. The picture I posted was actually done by a friend of mine who does photography as a hobby.

Is that the tiny pebble grain faux lizard that Mike is using right now? or is it genuine real lizard? He tried to describe it to me. Either way I love the look and love the cue. He is restoring one for me right now and I can't wait to see it. Congrats on a smart decision.
 
Impressive details of the work performed and the cue looks great.
The snowman is something totally different but it does compliment the cue very well.

It is definitely a leather wrap with the faux lizard pattern.
 
To me nothing says Old School, Classic, like a Derlin butt cap.........

Great looking cue, and hardly anyone would think that the inlays weren't original to the cue, but I would probably have kept the original delrin buttcap if it were not cracked. Also, did Mike/Tim change the joint pin as well? That doesn't look like an older pin to me? Thanks. Again, great looking cue.
 
Nice cue

Timi and Mike do not replace handles on their cues as a rule. They must have thought this cue to be special. Good chance the cue was repinned too.
You are very lucky! The cue must have been in origional condition too because they would have just returned the cue if it had been touched by anyone else over the years.
What really drives them nuts is when they get a cue with a rewrap or refinish that they didn't do. They just send it back with appologies.
So to say you are one of a very few paople that has ever had a cue restored like this is a understatement.

The main reason I got rid of the Delrin butt cap is because I just absolutely hate the look of Delrin. Maybe you have to be from that era to appreciate it (I think they call this 'nastalgia';)). As for the pin, I am pretty sure that it is a new one. I think that the re-coring process involves that step, but since I don't have a clue as to what was actually involved in the process I'll just say that the pin is new and leave it at that.
 
that is awsome, i would love to be the finder of a cue like that when i have money in my pocket. great decision on bringing that back to life. congrats.
