If your initials were JD I'd say this is a sales ploy and the cue would be for sale in a week.

Nopers

The cue is a work of art!
It is flawless and made for me by Mike.
I never ordered this cue and one will never made like it more than likely.
Mike says he just wanted to make me something. I have no idea of the cost and have no intention of ever selling it!
It took 3 shoots for me to get used to it. The joint is done in a new way and I love it!
I would try to get a pic of it but it might be best if you just order one and look at the joint in amazement as I did!!!

Joint work

The joint is machined in a way that makes the joint and ring combination 1 piece . So the cue feels and flexes more like a one piece cue! Where Dennis Searing machines the outside of the joint to accept the rings thus shortening the outside of the joint but actaully he leaves the same legnth joint you just can't see it, Mike machines the inside of the joint and does basicly the same thing inside out so the joint and rings become one piece.
And I have owned many cues just imagine what you have seen in the short time I have posted here times 20. All my players. I like this one best. I am beguining to think it knows who it was made for! Wow Sounds like DPK!
Mike you wanted my feed back here it is this is the best cue I have ever owned. Super cue! You and Timi are true masters.

Looks like a forearm with really nice figure and super clear Michigan maple shafts Nick. Glad to hear you have a cue that feels right for you. Does Mike taper his butts the same dimensions as Tim?

Ask Mike!

Tim and Mike are the easiest guys to talk to. I know Mike has made all Tim's blanks since 1984 so little wounder I feel like I have played with the cue for years. The new joint and shorter ferrels are hot rod. I let Phil hit a ball with the cue. Ask Phil about the "hit" of the new style joint and shorter ferrels.
I am sure Mike has more than one butt tapper and size because I have had a few different sizes and I prefer standard or .005 under!
Thanks Martin

Joint Picture!

If you know what you are looking at this might be a first!
Please try not to speculate on the construction in this thread. I have added this picture so if you order a cue you might say please make like Nick's!
You will see the differance straight away if not apologies and also for my not so good pics. I wiped the cue with a rag after playing with it and some threads stuck to the forearm giving the impression of scratches. The cue is flawless unlike my pictures of it!
Another note about the cue is the shortened ferrels. They are a first for me and I loved the wat they performed right away. The cue has even less deflection with this type ferrel. Everything about this cue is amazing! The playability and the fit and finish!!!!
Thank you
Nick

Trade offer

Alright Nick, I have a Barry that I would trade even up.
JK:D

Good Luck with the cue!

How can I get one?

Regards
Rob

Beautiful cue Nick!
How stiff is the hit? What kind of taper on the shafts? What kind of tips? How much of a forward balance?

There's a lot of kidding about how long you're going to keep it, but it looks like a keeper to me.

Jim, don't you have better things to do with your time than worry about what I do?

None that are this fun, but trust me I get other things done in my day.

in your own mind, you're really the ONLY knowledgeable person here, the ONLY intelligent one here,

Now you can read minds??

the ONLY say what you think person here...

I'm not the only one, but the list is short.

should I go on about how you think you're better than everyone else,

Sure, we all love mind readers.

or do you all see what I'm talking about too? yes, I'm wasting my time doing this, but its ok.

I'm sure your time isn't worth much so carry on. BTW how did you ever know I was talking about you?? I never mentioned your name.

Call Mike and ask for one like mine. Plan on a little wait! You may have to get one with a little more work in it though. He makes so few cues. Mine would be $2300.00 or there abouts but again plan a little higher!
Hope this is helpful
Mikes # 1-410-247-1231 Tim Scruggs Custom cues and ask for Mike!
Tell him you saw it here!
Also he tells me he can do this joint in ivory!! And ivory is his first choice!!
Thanks
Nick
