My Rhino experience

my 12.4 is actually 12.00mm and after initial alc 91% wipe with lots of black residue on the paper towel is much lighter color now than revo and they were very similar before the wipe and now it is even discolored on the bottom and the top because I was wiping less there and it can not be wiped after I tried it still stays now like that.

I am returning mine via Amazon
What does it measure at the very end of the carbon fiber?

Revo 12.4 on same spots is 12.5 and I did not use much alc, same what I was using to wipe revo which did not change its color
but your measuring the actual tip
and the first photo i can see light in between the calipers and shaft

That’s is also a problem, it is not 21.5 mm and on purex butt it has a gap on a sides. Here is the measurements rhino at 21.0mm and revo at 21.4

Imo, that’s a 12.2mm shaft.
If I was them I would just produce 3 sizes like revo 11.8 12.4 or 12.5 and 12.9 and I would make sure that I am really close to the specs, also for the end they are saying 21.5 and it is 21.0mm

And I would make it 29 inches like most shafts and not 30 inches which makes my cue 59 and not 58 and I have one tight corner.

I am returning this one and I just order 12.5 mm again via Amazon and will see what I will get. Will post once it arrives. They do not have 12.7mm on Amazon which would be probably close to real 12.4

Hmmmm...bume...bad luck.....Mine seems to get dirty..(lot of black) but it has not lost any size......Did you look at the box/tube it came in to make sure it was not a mis-pick?....

I ordered 12.7 and when I measure it comes out to 12.73........I think a 1.18 thousandths tolerance buffer is more than acceptable.
It lost color after 1st wipe not a size. For size it came like this and it says 12.4 everywhere.

Probably they have only few sizes but they are playing around with the tips and trying to sell it in many other sizes. I saw on rhino fb community also some other customer got it 0.2 shorter

What about bottom of the shaft? Did you measure that?

21.5 on the nose.....matches up perfect with two butts I have that are 21.5
did you buy on Amazon or directly? Maybe they are sending defective ones to Amazon lol but if they do it will cost them 1 stars reviews.

Support said to return and to order through them which I do not want to do. It is easier to go through Amazon.

My 12.8 is dead-on.

My Rhino 12.4 measures 12.4. After wiping with alcohol it did not change color. It no longer shows black when cleaning with alcohol. I’m surprised to hear there is one out of all the reviews so different. Seems like sending it back for another (or a refund) seems like the best course of action.
I’m keeping mine.

12.5 arrived and it measure 12.5 on a tip and below the ring same 12.5mm.

Bottom is now at 21.4

So something was really off with the previous 12.4mm one where the tip was at 12.00mm and 12.2mm below the ring and bottom was at 21.00mm

the last thing I want to see in the middle of a match is that my shaft is leaving carbon fibers on the rails and my hands.
I really have to amend my entire comment on the rhino carbon fiber shaft, specifically the thought that it was making my hands black. I really think that was the chalk getting on the shaft and then transferring to my hand that was doing it. Also, the balls at the pool hall are very dirty sometimes and just by racking them transfers dirt to my hands I really think the shaft is fantastic, in fact, I used taom v19 chalk and I got no black on my hands anymore. So I was being fooled by the dirtiness of the chalk, balls, and even chalk on the table as I rested my bridgehand on the table that was picking up dirt. It is not the shaft it is all the other dirty things. I am enjoying my rhino shaft, I got a 12.8 mm shaft and it fits perfect. I would 100% encourage someone to buy one if they are looking for a carbon fiber shaft.
